BREAKING: Judge Loren AliKhan is issuing the temporary restraining order Susman Godfrey sought blocking the Trump admin from enforcing parts 1, 3, & 5 of the executive order Trump signed last week targeting the law firm. AliKhan is the 4th judge to grant a TRO against Trump's law-firm EOs.

Wow! His police report in NY says 5'10", 287 lbs… Now, he’s 6’3”, 224 lbs?! All he does is lie.

Trump suggests stripping Harvard's 501(c)3 status as political retribution for standing up to him. It will not stop with Harvard, the goal is to do this to all civil society organizations that oppose him, including orgs like the ACLU. He's trying to destroy all political opposition.

Judge Xinis to DOJ lawyer: “Cancel vacation. Cancel other appointments. I’m usually pretty good about this in my courtroom, but not this time.” She also agreed to allow the plaintiffs to depose up to 6 administration officials. Good first step, but need accountability.

The phrase "rule of law" appears nowhere in the Constitution, so instead of fomenting outrage over Trump, America's law professors should embrace more noble pursuits, like researching crimes committed by Joe Biden's ancestors and live tweeting Fox & Friends. by Jonathan Turley

Here's a brief drill-down.

Prosecutors say the operation was aimed at gathering information to foil lawsuits against the fossil fuel industry over damage communities have faced from climate change.

As a biologist, I'm appalled at pride the White House takes in willful ignorance. In yesterday's executive order about NPR and PBS, their first example of "the trash that passes for `news' at NPR and PBS" is the statement that "banana slugs are hermaphrodites." But this is unequivocal fact.

A New Hampshire real estate attorney and American citizen returning home from Canada says he was detained at the border without an explanation and "treated like a criminal."

Marco Rubio is prepared to cut all aid to NATO and the UN, and he's revoking visas of students who've committed no crimes. But he's always come across as weak and submissive, so we'll keep on branding him a moderate for his entire career.

This shows you how deep in shit Trump is. He can't afford lawyers, so he is using his office to coerce them into doing pro-bono work for him, but he doesn't seem to realize that this is not something that will pan out.

Kilmar Abrego Garcia lived in Maryland with his wife and their three children, and has never been charged with any crime. The Department of Homeland Security issued him a work permit, and he joined a union, working full time as a sheet metal apprentice.

I don't care how many junior staffs Hegseth or others throw under the bus. Hegseth HIMSELF was on the Signal group chat. He used his fingers to enter the sensitive military info into the chat. He bears 100% full responsibility for that -- no matter how many scapegoats he finds.

As far as I can tell, the first person to ever accuse him of human trafficking is Leavitt herself (I'd love to know if someone else made the claim first). Certainly, no official has ever made that claim to a court, nor offered any evidence of it whatsoever. It seems the White House made it up.

A senior U.S. Air Force Special Operations leader, Command Chief Master Sergeant Anthony Green, has been dismissed due to a loss of confidence. ukdefencejournal.org.uk/senior-u-s-s...

📌"He's betrayed our national security. He will do so again. He's compromised our elections. He will do so again. You will not change him. You can't constrain him. He is who he is. Truth matters little to him. What's right matters even less. Decency matters not at all." -Adam Schiff to GOP in 2020

If you don't think we're headed here, you aren't paying attention.

NEW: Judge Xinis authorizes up to 15 interrogatories, 15 document requests, depositions from all govt declarants (Cerna, Katz, Kozak, and Mazzara) and up to two others to assess what the govt has done to "facilitate" Kilmar Abrego Garcia's release storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...

I see it. I have lived it. 83 years ago, the U.S. government turned upon a group of its own citizens and residents and sent them to internment camps without due process. I was there among them. American fascism is back. It is here. It is now.

What Judge Xinis is banking on is that the government does not want to spend two weeks in discovery. Two big things can happen: (1) They just make the call and get him back (2) They spend two weeks creating a public record of their own fuck ups and then get sanctioned

Judge may hold officials in contempt over failing to facilitate Kilmar Ábrego García’s return GOP Wants to END CRITICISM OF TRUMP TO END FREE SPEECH-Nullify 1st AMENDMENT PROVE THAT HE CAN DISAPPEAR US CITIZENS INTIMIDATE Law Firms-Universities-Media HE Wants YOU AFRAID So YOU Won't Speak out

HAPPENING NOW: At the federal courthouse in Greenbelt, Maryland, Judge Paula Xinis is set to begin a hearing on the government’s efforts – or lack thereof – to “facilitate” the return of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a Maryland resident who was wrongly removed to El Salvador. Follow along for updates ⬇️

There’s a word for this, and it’s called bribery.

Am I absolutely batshit insane in thinking that the WH thinks they may lose PR battle on Abrego Garcia?

In this Ohio diner, a trophy still means a 38-28-34 blonde who finally marries you after you write your kids out of your will. But they do know this: The person who dropped the OSU national championship trophy wasn’t JD Vance but rather a BLM/Antifa impersonator paid by George Soros.

"Daddy, you worked for a free speech foundation while Trump was turning the country into an autocratic police state. What did you do?" "Well, son, there was a place back then called Oberlin. And there was a food that was popular at the time called banh mi..."

COMING UP: At 4 p.m. ET, Judge Xinis is set to hold a hearing on the government's efforts -- or lack thereof -- to facilitate the return of Kilmar Abrego Garcia. I'll be there along w/ my colleague @rparloff.bsky.social. After the hearing, we'll discuss live: www.lawfaremedia.org/article/lawf...

Alarming. 'Within minutes after DOGE accessed the NLRB's systems, someone with an IP address in Russia started trying to log in, according to Berulis' disclosure. The attempts were "near real-time," according to the disclosure.' www.npr.org/2025/04/15/n...

these doge guys are all criminals. it’s really that simple, this is what hackers do when they get access to your system before they start stealing your data www.npr.org/2025/04/15/n...

Have we really become so woke that we are no longer comfortable sending innocent people to die in torture camps?

A Russian court convicted four journalists of extremism for working for an anti-corruption group founded by the late opposition leader Alexei Navalny. Each was sentenced to 5 1/2 years in prison.

The car based economy North America rides upon is slowly eroding. @thewaroncars.bsky.social youtu.be/7CQvxJNwwRk?...

Cuomo is the Democratic Trump. Do not vote for him and do not let your friends/family vote for him.

In yet another blatant ratfuck of the letter of the law they are doing this because, if successful, they can ship anybody, INCLUDING US CITIZENS, to El Salvador prison and no one can do a fucking thing about it Because *technically* they are incarcerated in the US lavocedinewyork.com/en/news/2025...

Who else AGREES with Max?! 🤚

Is DOGE just an RIS front?

Remarkable story—a whistleblower claims DOGE operatives appeared to delete records of their activity on NLRB systems, that he observed network traffic consistent with data exfiltration, and that drone photos of him walking his dog were taped to his door after he raised concerns

Good luck trumpers!!!
