There have been so many recent incidents of Trump-hating Americans saying to Canadians what amounts to “but you still think I, individually, am a good person, right?” that there have been memes about it (here’s one) (not a great one, but you get the idea).

congrats democrats, you got played like chumps. but at least you're respecting the office or some bullshit

I don’t know if you guys know this but Carly Rae Jepsen has made some fucking masterpieces of albums, multiple times, without breaking a sweat

ICYMI, I’m beta testing @theweekendest.com on Android! Sign up here: docs.google.com/forms/d/1ca0...

For some reason this was the change that I didn’t believe was real. It is. Today, the Stonewall NPS page has simply erased all references to trans people.

I do think it’s funny when the car companies are like “we may be divided but now more than ever, I think we can all agree: car ❤️”

every gay man you know rn:

70,000 people in a stadium yelling "a minor." Christ

OKAYYYY

I consulted on the product design for this project - so exciting to start seeing them in the wild! More accurate data and consistent design coming to all Subway station screens and countdown clocks. Huge props to @wafisher.bsky.social and his team at MTA on getting these improvements out to riders.

Love this new display format!

People are so rude lol

they are mostly targeting black employees so this is quite literally just a repeat of woodrow wilson’s segregationist purge of the federal government

The @mta.info Digital Services team is still growing! We’re looking for frontend software engineers. We work on realtime screens in the subway and apps (like TrainTime). If you love working on impactful projects with a smart, fast-moving team, this is your job. www.mta.info/document/163...

Apply, and work with me at the MTA!

when the edible hits

This is despicable. American health care providers, particularly deep-pocketed institutions in this city, should be fighting for their trans patients, not rolling over because they got a memo.

What’s the point of blue-state clinics doing this whole obey-in-advance thing

NYU-Langone is cancelling appointments for gender-affirming care for young trans people, parents say. The cancellations come after Trump's order directing institutions that receive federal funding to end gender-affirming care for patients under 19. hellgatenyc.com/nyu-langone-...

Following tragic news at @Reagan_Airport, Silver Line service will be extended from @Dulles_Airport to Metro Center, with stops in between as exits only. Metrobuses will be available at Metro Center to transport customers back to @Reagan_Airport to their vehicles. #wmata

only appropriate political response here is to demand the white house explain how its actions aren’t responsible www.huffpost.com/entry/trump-...

So excited to share this article about my transit advocacy work for the University of Waterloo's Global Futures initiative!

remember stuff like this when they tell you that diversity means a lowering of standards

They did this everywhere in NYC to cram in as many cars as possible. Do not tell me congestion pricing or the reclaiming public space we're doing are some extreme things

We took 100+ hours of footage of Lexington Ave in Manhattan, capturing some 75,000 vehicles before and after congestion pricing started, and found the drop in vehicles appears to be coming entirely from fewer personal cars. Also no change in avg car value. Congestion pricing is working (for now).

🚨What the … BART train screens just got a sick little update?!⬇️ The Passenger Information System on BART’s train cars is being updated to show major transit transfer connections at stations as part of a larger effort to make it easier for riders to navigate the Bay Area’s transit systems.

Climate change is real and getting worse, so we're eliminating red tape to rebuild low-density homes in high-risk areas (and requiring insurance sales) while retaining the regulations for high-density structures in low-risk areas and for clean energy production and transmission.

Someone on Wikipedia is using their phone to scan subway stations and make 3D wayfinding models…they need to be hired ASAP

i’m kind of amazed at how this is just the crudest, most obvious n****rbaiting you can imagine. “the people you don’t like, yeah, they are responsible for everything bad.” and it works!

Turns out NY Post actually supports criminal fare evaders, provided they do it in a car instead of on the subway. nypost.com/2025/01/06/u...

Canal/Broadway on Day 3 of congestion pricing. This is frankly incredible.

This morning I walked from 2nd Avenue to 11th Avenue along 60th street, looking for local news crews. Predictably there were a few that were sticking mics in car windows. I asked, “Hey, want to talk to a pedestrian as well?”

This one’s pretty good

@rebeccaclewis.bsky.social joined a group of public transit enthusiasts who borrowed one of their parents' cars to try to become the first people tolled when congestion pricing started at midnight. Read about it on @cityandstateny.bsky.social: www.cityandstateny.com/personality/...

Congestion pricing is a tax on socially and environmentally destructive consumption by rich people in order to fund expanded public services for working people. If you think of yourself a radical or Marxist or leftist, you do not need to have complicated feelings about this.

What if you and your friends did the funniest possible thing while attempting to be the first to pay the congestion toll

Me and my friends were the first people to drive through the new congestion pricing zone :)

Happy Congestion Price Day to those who celebrate!

Joined a group of public transit enthusiasts excited for congestion pricing who sought to be the first people tolled by the program at midnight

I guess outdoor dining is still allowed for some…

The $9.00 sign patch over what must have been the old $15 toll is breaking my heart, but at this point let's just get it started.
