Expected. Europe looking good but if you can't get the team fired up to play with any kind of intensity domestically, what's the point?
No to Gerrard or Dyche as well.

He's taking the Peter Thiel money these days, right? This is very on-brand now.

Good scoreline. Grim watch.

Thanks for calling it for what it was. Too many media outlets are doing all sorts of linguistic gymnastics to avoid that.

The real issue isn't the ownership. Issue is algorithmic feeds. They won't go after the other platforms though because "China".

Yeah that's a fair take. Bit lucky, as you say

I was surprised it wasn't called back and a penalty given (one of those you can file under 'seen those given'). We will probably eek out a horrible 2-1 that leaves us with more questions than answers tbh

Question is, have the Russian troll farms started up here, or is that just some random who is wired to the moon?

This is good info to have. Thanks for replying

At best, this is a shameful attempt to farm clicks. At worst, it's literal Nazi sympathising.
Embarrassing.

Question is, how easy will it be to dual boot?

Not for me. Went missing in his last season and he hasn't improved since he left.

I don't disagree with you one bit. The jeering achieves nothing positive and is a case of the fans there just lashing out when he isn't the root cause of the issues there.

The fan reaction said it all. He hasn't looked close to premier league standard and getting cheered off suggests the fans have had enough

I think he's done tbh. If the hierarchy are saying that omitting him is part of a 'culture reset' then he's cooked.

100% agree. Just need to look at the WaPo presidential non-endorsement as a prime example. I do think it's a combination though. Too many people stand to benefit from the status quo while average folk basically get shat on.

To expand, I don't think a journalist at a Murdoch paper wants to write something that then has people looking at other players at the top of the money tree (like Murdoch himself).
Not to say all journalists are like this, of course. Wrong to generalise in that regard.
comment in response to

The thing to note is that a lot of right and left leaning voices are noticing each other saying the same things RE the shooter. I wonder if some journalists who have based their careers on pushing culture war crap don't want to write articles that potentially highlight this unity. Cynical, I know.

I wonder if they will insist on some sort of "no one mentions human rights" clause when they sub-licence it to networks.

In a way, I'm happy this has happened as it shows that the clubs don't actually care and it's just a box ticking exercise. As you said, there needs to be a proper education on why this should be done. Seeing how some clubs/players have conducted themselves means we can't pretend everything is fine.

They realistically expect to generate 6 sales a day for star link? That seems... Optimistic? The fact this stuff is actually being promoted this way though is scary. Can see some folk actually thinking this is viable.

I don't see how they can continue after that. No way the players of both teams will be in any position mentally to play. Horrible stuff

Time for #AmorimOut ? In seriousness, I question the wisdom of bringing him in when he has no time to get his ideas into the squad and no window to buy.

Worth a punt based on his PSV record. Does feel like they've watched the past few games and just went "He'll do"

The right bumper on my elite 2 is more miss than hit now (not ideal for playing Apex Legends). I was contemplating getting a repair kit and having a go myself but tbh, probably just time for a new pad. Will check the Razer.

The right to purchase club world cup tickets. We all know they will end up filling the stadiums with school kids because no one is going to go to it.

Would it have been better to have announced Amorim for the summer (sticking with Ruud until then) so he had a window to get players that actually fit his system?

This season is a write off already. That's usually grounds for getting rid. I hope we can sort out upstairs first though or we'll just repeat the mistakes.

Can't help feeling the Belgium job could be best outcome for him at this point. I think he's possibly the right man at the wrong time for Rangers. The backroom is an absolute shambles at the moment and that needs to be fixed before anything else tbh. Any manager would struggle at the moment.

Nonsense take. I just want a place where I can go and read stuff on sport and gaming without having either Nazi stuff or posts from people pointing at Nazi stuff (saying how offended we should be) stuck on my feed every day.

Slightly biased as I live down this way but would like to see Rangers scout more youth down in South America. There's still value to be had despite various European teams opening up academies, youth teams, buying feeder clubs.

I think the ad supported/subscription model is the way. Give people the option to contribute by throwing some pocket change their way or having adverts on the timeline seems a reasonable trade off. Those AWS bills (one they move off prem) won't be cheap

This clarification is deeply important. Depending on how it goes, it's either comparable to the world cup or the Emirates cup. No middle ground.
