There was a small crack after the first firing of this porcelain. I decided to keep working to glaze it because I loved the piece. This happened during the glaze firing. It feels like our world to me. It is still in one piece but is very fragile and could break if not handled with utmost care.

Flying with Moon Ceramic. Of the billions and billions of galaxies in the universe we know of only one planet with birds. We find ourselves here. My dream is for humanity to be gentle and loving to our home and all beings as we fly through the cosmos together.

Here are the changes I made to this oil painting. Currently titled “Reaching for Light”.

“Together in the Woods” is one of my newest oil paintings. My time is always split between my painting studio and ceramic studio, for which I am grateful. The winter is a great time to work on the oil paintings between glaze firing the ceramics.

Enchanted by the glow of a blue moon that fills me with itself. Ceramic tile.

Local frogs - raised, photographed, and drawn by our artist friend David Tabor. My husband Clay threw the pot. We scanned David’s drawings and made them into stencils that I arranged on the pot, underglazed around them, removed the stencils and glazed the pot.
