I think that paying one’s taxes is the most patriotic act. I think voting for politicians who will spend that money wisely, with the best interest of our fellow human beings at heart is the second most patriotic act. What chump is threatening to do should be grounds for impeachment.

Imagine if the judge sentences trump to the maximum amount of years (consecutive, for each of his 34 felony counts) and declares it a suspended sentenced with the requirement that trump not commit any crimes and not tell any lies for the next 10 years. We will never hear another word from him again.

In 1976, I was 7 years old. I wanted to vote for Jimmy Carter. My mom took me into the voting booth and told me that if I could figure out all of the levers and how to vote (New York voting booths in the 1970s looked like a steampunk fever dream) then I could vote for Jimmy Carter.
