This video does such a good job saying what I have been trying to say about commercial AI. An AI can write a 10th grade lit essay, but the point of an essay assignment is not to produce an essay. The essay teaches critical thinking, research skills, etc. The effort is the point.

VOLITION - Subdue the regret. Dust yourself off, proceed. You'll get it in the next life, where you don't make mistakes. Do what you can with this one, while you're alive.

KIM KITSURAGI - “You need to get your shit together.” YOU - “But I don't wanna get my shit together!” KIM KITSURAGI - “Then the world will turn away from you, and leave you behind.”

Had to unfollow a lot of cool people on account of being overwhelmed. Sorry!

I am wondering if bluesky has a bot problem.

In early 2024, I remember when Threads used to be the place where racists used to hang out. I used to see posts from people talking about what white people would do with their money versus black people. Twitter was slightly better than that place back then. Slightly.

I might have overwhelmed my bluesky feed and myself by following too many cool people.

I can proudly say that for the 6 years I have been following my favourite ufc fighters and the sport of MMA. I have not once supported the UFC in any way, shape or form. Not one ppv. Not a single ticket. Most of the money made through sales go to the execs anyway.

Have compassion for the people who don't think I'm a person? Have compassion for the people who want kids to have measles? Have compassion for the people okay with racism? These pathetic losers will get scoffs and derision and it's better than they deserve.

I was writing a long post on bluesky, but the word limit is really irritating me.

I'm going to use this more than twitter. Might leave this too if you're racist.
