I think this is my best performing video yet, which is really cool! But it also means it's broken containment and attracted an influx of very smart people to come valiantly defend their beloved plagiarism machine in the comments -_-

This video by @swampjawn.bsky.social nearly perfectly encapsulates my view on art and the creative process, it's a real good one and I can't wait to check out Look Back, it sounds real good and may just become one of my favorite pieces of media ever youtu.be/VAKY_h5q6S8?...

Hey @swampjawn.bsky.social I got your "Look Back" video recommended to me. Your character pulled me out of an art block and the little guy was very fun to draw! I might even rig him for you. Send me a dm if your interested in the files. #vtuber #armadillo #art #fanart #live2d

This is a real screenshot from Look Back (2024). You might assume this unfinished frame made it into the final movie because of its director Kiyotaka Oshiyama (押山清高) doing HALF the key animation for the film and only fully finishing it A WEEK before it's festival debut. (1/2)

Tip to filmmakers - avoid featuring water in your film. Very difficult.

Development of one of the shots in Flow. Every shot goes through many iterations. In most cases the look is found directly in the 3d scene instead of using concept art. Everything is made in Blender and rendered using EEVEE.

Flow was made entirely with Blender and rendered in real time with EEVEE. We didn't use a renderfarm. The final render was done on my PC. There was no compositing, all the colors were tweaked and adjusted using shaders.

please re-renner this urgent message

A lot goes into 15 sec of animation. The project took me 60 hours of work (from what I recorded) so it's probably 80 😅. 2/3 of it was animation #animation . I made the #2DVFX in Animate. Rendered with Cycles, comped in AfterEffects. #B3D #p2design #rigging

Man RIP David Lynch. A legend and an inspiringly unapologetic weirdo.

I’ve gone down a rabbit hole with Philosophy Tube research: I started with “Why are American cities on grids?” and now I’m deep into historical theories on whether Thomas Jefferson was autistic

Waymo is peak American innovation. With way less money they could have built a reliable public transport network, but instead someone was like "what if we could find a way for empty vehicles to contribute to traffic too? There's no reason we can't have more cars on the road than there are drivers"

I have a brilliant plan, all I need is: - the copyright to everything - all the money in the world

Poor, poor invisible Soup.....

“i’m learning blender” that’s great! i’ve been practicing microwave for a while and i think i’ve gotten pretty good at it. might tackle toaster next

Happy Christmas to the gibbon at my local zoo who likes to try to piss on people

Saw this yesterday and was totally blown away. It's such a beautiful and earnest piece of art. Having had the chance years ago to visit the studio & glimpse the work-in-progress, I'm amazed at what it's blossomed into. Please see Flow on the big screen if you can! flowthemovie.com/buy-tickets

What happened to the puppets from Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer? While researching that I stumbled across a tale of intrigue, propaganda, false identities, blending of animation industries from three nations at war, and the forgotten pioneer who made it all possible. www.youtube.com/watch?v=rY9K...

What a month of Blender does to a MFer

New video is finally up on Patreon, and coming to Youtube on Monday! It's a bit different from my other stuff, but not only is it (I think) the best video I've ever made, I think you'll find it's also more 'on-brand' than it first appears! (A sneaked peek below) www.patreon.com/posts/118391...

Beautiful '70s animated commercial for Clairol's Herbal Essence Shampoo. Transferred from 16mm by The Unpopular Archive @ Youtube.

1978 commercial for Jovan Sex Appeal aftershave animated by Richard Williams and based Frank Frazetta's painting 'Against the Gods'. Never for evil! 🔥🔥🔥

La creatura.

Thank god for generative AI, otherwise how else would Google be able to find a headshot of David Tennant

自分が作った3Dのラフ 3コマなのでカメラワークの動きはそのまま使っていただいたほうが楽だと思い、3Dのlouisさんにblenderデータごとお渡ししてその後はお任せです。

Lord help me, I'm doing blender again.

Should be illegal for movie theaters to keep playing ads like 10-15 minutes past the time on the ticket this is ridiculous

an overlooked aspect of all these “bluesky is an echo chamber” pieces is that the writers bizarrely think that the only reason people use social media is to talk about politics, which is true only for a subset of users
