And a NARRATIVE UPDATE. I love when team Darktide gives me, specifically, what I want. Clearly I am God's favourite Swan. :3

i love making heavy handed and clumsy connections to ancient myth and religion.

I was today years old when I learned "Father, why have you forsaken me" by Horus in False Gods is referencing Christ's last words on the cross.

I just think birds are nice.

It's in stunning condition. I am the happiest Swan in my living room rn.

Concerning if true. McNeill and Swallow have a hand in building the universe and as much as I adore the new blood I think some of the old hands are needed to shape the epic theatrical drama of 40k. I also think classic writing would be refreshing. Remember the OTT drama of Thor? I miss that.

These books sold for 13 quid each. Games Workshop has created one of the best worlds and has some of the best sci fi and fantasy writers working for them and yet the books are just not making it into the hands of readers. Instead their lore is being peddled (inaccurately) by third parties...

Close enough. Welcome back Jocat.

My bestie came in, told me he was fixing my office chair and installed Stellar Blade on my PC. I had no idea it had released. I've done my waiting. I'm so excited.

"Netflix dialogue is clunky due to second screen viewing. Characters need to announce what's happening." The people yearn for radio dramas and audio books. I wonder if we'll see a resurgence. I prefer reading to audio books but I rather like audio dramas and there's quite a few on yt and Spotify.

My sophomore novel for BL, DOMINION GENESIS, is available for pre-order in paperback from the GW website: www.warhammer.com/en-GB/shop/d... And, if you feel so inclined, you can read OPPORTUNITY COST, a prequel story featuring Sherax and co, right now: www.blacklibrary.com/new-titles/w...

Me omw to the bookshop when someone recommends a novel and says "it's my favourite".

My experience with Warhammer books is someone telling me "You should read [book]". And I just find it on my shelf like it manifested there.

Back in my Space Marine era (I am experiencing peak).

Uriel Ventris wears green and a white rose. I have moved from Glasgow to Yorkshire. He's literally me for real.

Warhammer fans what's your favourite piece of lore you got directly from the source challenge.

There's a dedication in my Warhammy book. I bought it second hand. I've no clue what it says.

Same font on Great Work and Genefather. Lovely touch.

McNeill if you're out there. Nightbringer is fantastic. I was already familiar with your game but I still find myself delighted and surprised. I've only known Uriel mentioned as a veteran so seeing him inexperienced and doubting himself has been lovely.

I've not kept up on recent 40K did the Blood Angels get their generational trauma and Catholic swag back? (they better have)

First RE game lesgooooooo. (It has been 1 hour I've died 4 times)

Reading Nightbringer and Uriel being so inexperienced and full of determination feels very reminiscent of reading Berserk for the first time. Seeing Guts at the start. Opening up to people, falling for Casca and the whole campfire of dreams scene. Sweet boy. I hope nothing bad happens to him...

Uriel Ventris on his first day. Telling Calgar he misses his mentor and he's going to be the bestest captain ever. Promise!!!

Need to know where Shayna Baszler gets her Warhammer fits. I need em for the clamber gym.

Fatshark adding another character who will be combative and create friction with the main cast. Me:

Girl dinner.

I think. In the Darktide update. PvP should be enabled but only when you play as the arbiter

McNeill is such an unintentionally funny writer. Shipmaster: Boy I sure hope the eldar don't destroy my ship. Next paragraph: MEANWHILE. IN THE EVIL LAIR. Or it is intentional and the man is an evil genius. Because I love it. The Eldar are so funny, he doesn't shy from the grimdark.

Me deciding to make a yt channel about Warhammer novels then realising I can only identify themes of Fraternity, Loyalty and Grief.

Finished Blood of Iax. Really quick, cozy, easy read. I've had a friend in my DMs raving for ages about the Ventris novels and McNeill always delivers. Aside. How nice is this cover? (I have not finished Inquisitor. Chat, boo this man).

Might start streaming again.

Blood of Iax is a simple cozy read but still has such intense shocking scenes I'm having a great time. It's still given me some things to think about.

Robbie MacNiven writes combat very well. And a story about Ultramarines who are also blood brothers is a good choice to ease me back into reading mreems. If you guess the novel pls no spoil I'm still reading.

I went to UKGE but didn't take any pics so here's a doodle my friend did of me in the air BnB hot tub.
