Had a revelation yesterday at the vet. They have a card reader that they push towards you when you pay. I paid, then the girl moved it again, putting it back in front of me. Didn't hear what she said, was confused. Thought it was for tips. Realized, I'm using visual cues to mask my hearing loss.

One of the few good use cases for AI, IMO, is writing regex. Ain't nobody got time for actually learning regex. There's five people who can write it by hand. The rest of us just copied their SO answers over and over again for the last couple decades. Let the computer write the computer stuff.

Sometimes I'll spend a whole holiday weekend feeling like a slob and lazy AF, then about 5pm the night before I suddenly become my old self again. Then I work 1-2 days and very quickly go back to feeling like shit. And that's at the GOOD job where I like most of the people and know what I'm doing.

My toxic trait is that my cPTSD makes me stupidly sensitive to criticism and correction, so I have spent untold hours of my life trying to make sure that no one ever *needs* to correct me on anything. As if such a thing were ever possible. 😅

Sometimes I think about how some of us act like finding the right magical sequence of the most correct words will make the hate go away. As a peer abuse survivor, there's no correct anything that will make a bully stop, because it's not you, it's them. They hate first and find reasons second.
