#LeePace appreciation post 😮‍💨

BOOM!

This release is about a week out, so I'll share this trailer one more time. This has been a deeply cathartic project 💖 thanks to everyone for the pre-orders, I am proud of this and so excited to send it out. I read so many books for this! It was great.

This is honestly the best new comic series I have read in some time. Hooked! Highly recommended!

Let’s show Canada 🇨🇦 some love with another Alpha Flight thread, this time about the 130-issue vol 1 run from 1983-1994. With 2 annuals, and a 2-issue crossover miniseries with the X-men, there were six writers who wrote v1 and nine significant pencillers:

Was pleased to see Alpha Flight appear in X-Men 12. And of course I wrote in to [email protected] to let them know how much I appreciated the appearance and want to see the continuation of their story. You should, too! Show Marvel there’s a desire for the team! #alphaflight #xmen

Loving the "alongside" tagline for the next issue ✖️🤝🍁 #XSpoilers

Oh damn my Alpha Flight number 1 is now an Alpha Flight number 25.

What's your #comicsdna? The comics that were formative to you? This Dave Ross cover of Alpha Flight literally drew me to comics, from a spinner rack in a 7-11. From there Bill Sienkiewicz’s art in New Mutants, Chris Claremont’s X-men soap opera kept me engaged. Y and Vertigo showed me the adult side

“Try as we might.” Exactly how are we trying with the briefest of limited series once every ten years?

Latest read (audio), A Search for the King (1950) by Gore Vidal; a troubadour's odyssey as he searches for the kidnapped King Richard the Lionhearted; encountering giants, werewolves, vampires-- all in a realistic historical fiction context. Characterization & prose the best fantasy writers exhibit.

Got an email about rejigging the order of our upcoming schedule for Big Gay Book Club and I thought @meakoopa.bsky.social might get a kick out of this. No pressure!

Name one actor whose movies you’ll watch simply because they are in them.

Happy Boxing Day! Coterie [KOHT-uh-ree] (n.) - A small, exclusive group of people with shared interests or tastes; a club or clique. Used in a sentence: “The prima dictum of the Pugilist’s Coterie is: ‘One does not confabulate apropos the Pugilist’s Coterie.’”

Private eye Sam Spade and the novel Maltese Falcon will also be public domain. The name Sam Spade is not trademarked either. You can make Sam Spade stories, comics, movies. You just can't use the films or Bogart's likeness.

Merry Christmas all!
