In the dead of night last night, I woke up choking on the disgusting, partially-digested contents of my stomach that came back up my esophagus, and if that’s not a big mood for American politics right now, I don’t know what is.

I only get baby fever during chick season. Why are baby chicks so CUTE?!? Maybe I’ll go out and force-cuddle one of my chickens. Hopefully won’t get pecked in the face. Worth the risk.

The reason you’re not hearing anything about the economic blackout today is because it was effective and the media doesn’t want to let that out. Take a cue from the Civil Rights movement: boycotts/blackouts work, especially over time and when repeated!!

One of my favorite things about teaching Children’s Lit class is making my students read books they read when they were little. They turn back into those delighted young children again, reading with joy and open hearts. Warms my soul.
