This is Tbilisi on the 90th day of nonstop nationwide protests demanding free elections and the release of political prisoners—unlawfully jailed for defending Georgia’s freedom, democracy, sovereignty and European future.

What do the following countries have in common ? They all voted against an Ukraine UN resolution to brand Russia the aggressor in the conflict. Judge them by the company they keep.

‘Tesla - 0 to 1939 in 3 seconds’ Chapeau 🎩 👏

I've just signed "Marks & Spencer - stop advertising on GB News" - Will you support the campaign too? actionstorm.org/petitions/ma... @StopFundingHate

Why does 25% AfD among young men spark a thousand "what is going on with young men?" posts yet Die Linke 34% among young women generates...nothing at all? Yes, young men voting for the radical right is an important phenomenon. But so is young women going rad left *at even higher rates*.

Three years since "I need ammunition, not a ride." 🇺🇦✊🏻

MUSK LOSES BIG IN GERMANY Germany’s CDU/CSU wins big, while the far-right AfD underperforms in second—despite backing from Elon Musk and JD Vance. AfD is now likely to be completely shut out of the governing coalition.

CDU/CSU just under 30% is still a win for Merz but symbolically being in the upper 20s will disappoint them. SPD has done badly but could have been worse. AfD gets a very good result but will still be disappointed because they vastly overestimate their realistic potential.

BBC News on hour reporting straight that Trump has got rid of military chiefs because ‘they’re too mired in woke culture’ 🤯🤯🤯 Traditional liberal democratic media still hasn’t learned how to report on authoritarians, even now when it’s almost too late

Pat is so highly strung. Isn’t it time she had a total breakdown? #TheArchers

I’m enjoying this! 🤣 #TheArchers

“But the Gills don’t speak to anyone” 🤣 don’t we know it! #TheArchers

100% correct. Outrageous, deluded presumption and conceit for No 10 to claim that UK can still act as some sort of “bridge” between US and Europe. This is also where rubber hits the road for UK. Decision time. Are we European - as values, geography and economics suggest, or forever American poodles?

I’m hoping Harrison will have fling and have a child. Partial solution to their conundrum? #TheArchers

Great interview here with the brilliant Tamsin Greig. No mention of #TheArchers (unsurprisingly - she’s done so much else!). I doubt we’ll ever see Debbie in Ambridge again. www.theguardian.com/culture/2025...

I counted 4-5 times that Fallon referred to ‘dad’ - presumably to remind us who Wayne is? #TheArchers

Time for this gem, I think #TheArchers leg-over: youtu.be/q4mC3Y4Dw-E?...

Seeing as everyone is writing Brexit anniversary pieces, I thought I'd give it a go. Brexit for 🇪🇺 didn't begin in. 2020 or even 2016. Brexit began during the financial crisis, with UK blackmail. A 🧵

This isn’t going to go well. #TrumpsTariffs

Malayan leaf frog🐸

Trump is destroying the power and influence of the United States at a pace that is surprising even to his boss, Putin.

🚨🚨Lord Sugar described #Brexit as "the biggest disaster in [his] lifetime" and added "It is now [that] the full ramifications of us not being in the EU is starting to really take its toll" "If I was PM, I would be coming along on my bended knees and asking to be allowed back in,"👇👇

How is it still January

By golly, Labour couldn't bark up a more wrong Brexit tree if they tried. Strongly out of tune with 80% of their 2024 voters. Extraordinary mistake. That's substantially more than necessary to lose the 2029 GE. But hey ho, they'd rather stick their necks in the sand. yougov.co.uk/politics/art...

The numbers on Brexit are only going to keep moving in one direction. Disappointing that public opinion and the growth imperative isn't pushing Labour to rid itself of its caution with the EU

Custard pie fights. Sisters squabbling. A wicked villain trying to ruin everything. This whole week has been a panto about a panto, and I'm not sure postmodernism should be applied this way! Should it, boys and girls? #TheArchers

OK, I have totally lost the plot 🤷😠#TheArchers

Lord Heseltine has called for the UK to rejoin the EU, saying that Brexiteers sold Britain a “pack of lies”. He said that the UK should be “at the heart of Europe” and rejoining would be “in the best interests of a generation of young British people”. www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/poli...
