I have a new story out today! Free to read. Mermaids maybe? Murder thoughts, yes. www.sundaymorningtransport.com/p/there-be-m...

Enjoyed this story. Very real and sad, but there's hopefulness in it too.

the great thing about having a dark cat that you can barely see at night, is that sometimes you lean over and are like, oh there's my little baby down there, aw there you are little baby, how are you little baby, goodnight little baby, and you're talking to your jeans

Finnish May Day celebration is already today and we call it Vappu. Had a munkki doughnut to celebrate. Happy Vappu! Hauskaa vappua! 🎉🎈

Hey @sfwa.bsky.social members, today's the last day for Nebulas voting! While I'd LOVE for you to choose my novelette, you should know that this category is absolutely STACKED, and every story in it is amazing. Please read them all whether or not you're voting - I'll make it easy & post links below.

Checked out a new-to-me forest path today and it turned out to be very good. Just birdsong, quiet, and trees.

Loved this poem.

Loving the term "sentence yoga." 😄

Look who stopped by in the garden, enticed by the sudden green grass buffet.

Made some quick & easy pasha for Easter, topped with candy.

Wild liverworts blooming in the yard. I prefer their Finnish name—"blue anemone".

Felt like summer today. +20C in Finland today which is quite unusual for this time of year. In a few days it'll drop to 9 again. Crocuses in my garden are in full bloom.

I have a joke about Schrodinger's cat, but I don't know if it's funny or not.

Anyway. Maybe check out my novella, Countess, if you're interested in a book about realizing the system will never accept you and then striking the match to burn that system down. Available everywhere. Nominated for the Nebula! Still surprised abt that. ecwpress.com/products/cou...

Crocuses coming up nicely this year. Last year a hare ate most of the buds.

This is the kind of April Fool I like: 1) Harmless 2) Goose-based (Which are not often words that go together). #WritingCommunity

A squirrel in my garden waiting for spring.

This is Limpy, a jackdaw that's been coming to my garden throughout March. #birds
