I decided to try something new tonight. This is higher grade student paper and my first real attempt at flowers.

In a brief break between snowstorms, I ventured out to check how frozen the lake was. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw this stunning heron land gracefully on the water’s edge. I waited for the ripples to settle, and it rewarded me with this perfect shot. #birds #heron #canon #photography #birding

It dawned on me the other day - we always hear about the fall of Rome, but never what happened to everyday people. I'm sure I've been told what the fall of Roman rule did to the common people. My cumbersome point is that the people largely endured, and it's the people that make the nation.
