The third item of test equipment from the rally was this 30V 2A GPIB programmable PSU for a fiver. Earlier tests showed the output was hunting around a bit when lightly loaded, this turned out to be a missing sense line shorting strap on the back panel. Just needs feet and to figure out GPIB cmds

Let just label up the Green as blue. It not even spelt Earth right

Elsinør is watching hen TV

What is the rule about fish with arms please?

Pan pan pan pan bin, we are declaring a waste emergency

This just appeared in my Facebook timeline. Seemed like an insult.

It’s working! I genuinely don’t believe it

Elsinør is now watching goose TV

It makes no evolutionary sense but the European badger (meles meles) is perfectly aerodynamically fitted for atmospheric hypersonic travel

Added printf statements in hardware

After a lot of work I now have all the loops working, here I am counting the output loop rather than the generator’s output because, well, the signal path beyond the output loop is not working yet!

Today I've fixed more faults on the RACAL-DANA 9084. This is a landmark repair in that I don't think I've ever seen anywhere near this many faults in a single piece of test equipment. More loops are locking now but the output loop is still rough. I have added "out of lock" LEDs to most of the loops.

I was reading a property listing and noticed the word "comprises". I had to check if that had been "enchanted" to a different word with a different meaning. I mean enhanced. Or do I? Yup. Query goes like this…site:rightmove.co.uk "the property compromises"

Today is the first day of knowing that ITV4_Schools.mp3 is actually Sunny Woodlands by Johnny Pearson from Bruton BRD21: The Magic of Life.

More progress, control logic is now mostly working. Most of the faults were misbehaving 4049CN chips, no idea why.

There’s still time to read this! Actually, there’s unlimited time, I’m not deleting it or anything.

Systron Donner Datapulse 401 Function Generator now repaired. New tantalum capacitors and a replacement 2N2904A output driver transistor because the emitter had rotted off the original one.

I love that there's a facebook group called "Nissan Navara Snapped Chassis Group" because these pointless 4 door pickups that became popular in Britain for tax reasons (now defunct) are terrible rust buckets and will snap in half given a taste of normal British weather.

It is 1980 and you, RACAL, do not believe those switching power supplies will ever catch on. And forget about so-called printed circuit boards.
