"Try to stop me from being a spokesperson for this country."

"Why were people buying up homes and renting them out?" Canada didn't build rental housing for decades, then brought in 2 million renters, without notice. That's your reason right there, not the M2 money supply or "financialization".

Today’s essential read for all albertans

I've been hesitant to write something like this because I didn't want to give oxygen to Alberta separatists. The conversation alone is dangerous. But with the threshold to a separation referendum lowered so dramatically, we can't let myths out there go unchecked. www.coreyhogan.ca/p/three-albe...

I was thrilled and proud to volunteer on the (successful) @coreyhogan.ca election campaign. Want to know why? You'll have to watch this video. www.youtube.com/watch?v=4GJI...

On Election Day, I sat down with Ryan Sauvé on my campaign and he asked my thoughts on the campaign, Canada, volunteers, and democracy. It captured a moment where I, an exhausted and sunburned candidate who needed a haircut, didn't know what was going to happen. Now, the work begins.

I hate the way that journalist hype up Alberta separatism and western alienation more broadly. I have a ton of respect for @markusoff.bsky.social but this is a terrible summary of what this polling says. Lumping together the definitely and leaning numbers overstates the support for separation.

Confederation is like a family. Ultimatums, threats and escape plans are not a way to make a family work. Premier Smith should ask herself what her intentions are here. Is she comfortable with where this might lead? Are we, as Albertans? Let’s be constructive. Canada is worth it.

Growing western alienation is a tantalizing storyline and it gets clicks and eyeballs, I'm sure, but it is not borne out by the facts. Alberta-first identity is on the decline, not increase.

In the late 1970s, the corporate tax rate was the same or lower in Quebec than Ontario. But corporations and head offices were going the other way - from Montreal to Toronto. Stoking the coals of separatism helps nobody. It's a small and impractical idea - and it's bad for business.

"...In related news, Taco Bell sales have skyrocketed at locations near events and entertainment venues."

UPDATE: got to Ottawa.

If we want to build this country, we need builders. Mark Carney's plan sees investments in trades and retraining, helping people start or pivot careers.

Campaign time is funny. After 27 days, I feel like I've been doing this for years. That reflects just how much the team has done. A huge thank you to the 100s of volunteers who have talked to 10s of 1000s of residents - and given so generously of their time. It means the world.

Remember - polls close at 7:30pm MT tonight. But if you're in line to vote at 7:30pm, even if you haven't made it through the line - you can vote. Bring the right ID and let's go out there and do some democracy! www.how2vote.ca

Just a couple of Alberta boys, trying to get to Ottawa to do some good.

I had to check if this was real. It is. We have a US president lobbying our annexation, who's threatened economic force to do so. Unprecedented. Today we're choosing who fights for this country. Who stands up for Canada & resists the right-wing populism that led our neighbour to this place. Vote.

Every election, we also hold a vote for the kids to decide what's for dinner. We do this to explain democracy (you don't always get what you want, you always get your say) & to expose the kids to how easy it is to vote. Make your own dinner ballots here: files.coreyhogan.ca/Election_Nig...

It's just a projection, it's not destiny. But It doesn't get much closer than this. In 2015 Calgary Confederation came down to a 2% difference between the Conservative and Liberal vote. If we all 𝐯𝐨𝐭𝐞, 𝐯𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐫, and 𝐬𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐝 - we can win this. Four days to go.

Polls close in 99 ½ hours.

Lots of talk about strategic voting in Calgary Confederation. Your vote is your vote, and there's no such thing as a wasted vote. But this is a close race between myself and Jeremy Nixon. Working together, we can get a different kind of representation for Calgary Confederation.

Thursday Friday Saturday Sunday Election This is almost over. Let’s finish strong in Calgary Confederation. If you’re in Calgary, sign up to door knock. If you’re not, sign up to phone. An hour of your time can help change the next four years. event.liberal.ca/en/events/48...

The number one question I get asked at the doors is why I'm running. There's lots of things I care about - healthcare, childcare, a strong innovation & post secondary sector, social supports, growing our economy, making housing more affordable. But why I'm running? This is why.

The Conservative platform is out and it reads like they forgot they needed one until 11pm last night. Surprising how much less substantive it is than previous CPC platforms, and it sure doesn't math. Serious times call for serious leaders and serious plans.

An estimated 7.3 million Canadians cast their ballots in advance over the Easter long weekend, according to Elections Canada. The non-partisan agency said its preliminary figures for 2025 mark a 25% increase from the 5.8 million electors who voted in advance during the 2021 federal election.

The CBC provides Canadian news and tells Canadian stories. It's an important part of cultural sovereignty. A strong CBC is at the heart of a strong Canada.

Allow me to introduce myself!

I'm running because I want to be a strong Alberta voice that's a champion for a strong and united Canada. Confederation is worth fighting for.

Voting with housing in mind this election? We've made a handy guide on what the parties plan to do to build more homes. Full details and methodology at morehomescanada.ca/election2025. #cdnpoli

Hillhurst going WILD, brother.

Mark Carney was in Calgary last week talking about making Canada an energy superpower - in renewables and conventional sources. I want to be a strong Alberta voice at the table helping us meet this goal.

Canada is facing a challenging moment. Now's the time for strong, serious leaders like @mark-carney.bsky.social - that's why I'm running. Volunteer with the @liberalca.bsky.social, spread the word, and be sure to get out and vote this election. Let's be #CanadaStrong

The vibes are good. But every neighbourhood is different and support levels vary. This election will be very close - 338Canada.com has it as a toss-up and it sure feels like it. We can win, with hard work. Volunteer, talk to your friends and neighbours, and VOTE!

Is Calgary Confederation a "conservative riding"? What do we mean when we say Calgary Confederation is a swing riding?

This election, we have a choice between sound policies and sound bites.

We great to see Mark Carney in Calgary the last couple of days - including two events in Confederation. The pollsters and the pundits agree - this riding is going to be closely contested between the Liberals and Conservatives - if you vote, volunteer, and spread the word, we can win this.

Big line ups at the Carney rally in Calgary Confederation. If you’re in line to meet the PM, you’re not the only one! Hi from me and Calgary Centre candidate @lindsayluhnauyyc.bsky.social Calgary is #CanadaStrong
