We may need a "remove self from notifications" or "leave thread" sort of deal.

Welcome, Christen. Lovely to see both of you here! Hope I can invite my wifey here one day! She isn't much for social media outside of China. But, currently Blue Sky works well in China.

Can we get access to a Trello broad or something similar? To avoid being a bother, I want to ensure that my feature requests align with the ones you are currently working on.

We are currently a smaller community compared to other social media. Also, this is a private server. Invite codes carry a certain value, and disruptive actions to bring disruptive users should have consequences. When federation drops, everyone can have their own servers.

I can’t imagine how you or your team handles it day after day. Can you talk about it?

It might be better to find a way to disable @ping if a user chooses. Second, if a user mutes another user, that muted user shouldn't be able to tag the user. At protocol level, (sorry I haven't read the whole doc), does the mute list carry to other services?

I appreciate the work all of you put in, including A11Y project-related implementations. The ALT visual indicator encourages good vision users to participate in A11Y best practices. Also, when they see ALT, they may become curious about what those are. Please take a rest, Ollie. πŸ’™

When users with good vision see the ALT text indicator, that encourages them to add ALT text for blind or low-vision users. Screen readers are already working with ALT text within HTML. Educating most users about the ALT text with a visual indicator is IMPORTANT.

Expected Behavior: 1. Visual indicator of the presence of ALT text. 2. Anyone able to put it up to read.

Hi. Thanks for the reply. I use an iPhone 13 With iOS 16.4.1 It would be awesome to have a tiny indication of ALT text on top of the image and pop it when the user presses it. This may encourage everyone to provide ALT text and benefit differently able folks. πŸ’™

Social media was never meant to amplify. But Mark and Jack/Elon had other plans. It was meant to connect people.

Most people I introduced or discussed or interacted with Bsky are extremely passionate about decentralization and identity. A key issue in decentralization is the absence of a centralized hub that provides support for onboarding, user safety, and education. Bsky.social accomplishes that.
