I also just somehow found out expedition 33 was turn based, so that puts it slightly higher on the list of things to play. It’ll have to be after Last Defense Academy. I’ve gotten the most joy out of that demo that I’ve gotten out of a game since wilds, which is crazy to me

So I finished the demo for LLA this morning. It feels like if Dangan was an SRPG (with some notable differences) and the demo really made me happy. For reference, I didn’t finish the metaphor demo and I was EXCITED for how that game played.

I don’t think I’m gonna grab the oblivion remaster, half because I already own the original on Steam and half because it’s just not my type of game. Happy for everyone excited though! I’m looking forward to last line academy. Though I still need to get the Lunar games too

This is objectively untrue. Reki loves bringing up the anti-harassment code, which I’ll admit, is a great thing to have in a VR game, but it traps players indefinitely iirc on repeat violations. They know where the jail is. The problem is just apprehending 3+ armed people.

So I fell off of the story of ARR hard around level 20-30. I enjoyed the gameplay, but the story was just… so uninteresting to me. That is until the bloody banquet leading into the start of heavensward. I think that was the biggest redemption arc a game has had on me
