Can somebody explain to me like I’m a 5-year-old why the Duke of Westminster can pass on his fantastic wealth tax-free in a trust fund, but a farmer can't pass on his working farm without paying inheritance tax?

Farms don't usually pass in trusts as there is seldom enough income to keep the lawyers oiled. Toffs on the other hand pass their estates on via trusts to avoid inhererence tax. If Labour were really for working people, they would scrap the trust fund loophole and save working farmers.

So our little church has unionised with three others for the sake of simplifing tnings. The group had four Kirk sessions. We now have one Kirk session and 7 working groups 😆 Good luck with that minister.
