In 25 years of covering national security, I’ve never seen a story like this: Senior Trump officials discussed planning for the U.S. attack on Yemen in a Signal group--and inadvertently added the editor-in-chief of The Atlantic. www.theatlantic.com/politics/arc...

Many years after witnessing horrors in the Battle of Okinawa, Rieko Tamaki eventually took the decision to tell her story in the hopes it may never happen again.

Going through those Obama rally photos earlier and I found photos of an old room of mine. I had that TV for damn near 25 years before my MOM of all people told me to give it up for a flat screen. I still have the VCR player, tho. I hold onto tech very stubbornly. lol

Oh wow. Romance anime that sets itself in our 2020 with references to COVID cancellations. I'll give this a few episodes and hope it hooks me. MC girl is in the manga industry, too.

If there’s one thing I will always soapbox over, it’s this. The past was NEVER as good as you remember it. In fact, it was probably terrible. You just weren’t watching the news or hearing about evil shit because you were a kid.

Sounds like Yuru Camp, but looks like adults. I can get behind that. Don't get me wrong, I like Yuru Camp a lot, but when the main characters are going to college or, even better, are 30+ years old... I like it a whole lot more since I can relate to the body aches, now. ;3

OkiTsura makes me want an anime where the protagonist can barely speak Japanese and has to learn more of the language and of the culture while there. Like Go Go Nippon, but less cringe. (Sorry, MangaGamer. >.>; ) I'd love an anime like that cuz learning about Okinawa has been fun.

The first and only time I was ever able to go to a political rally was when @barackobama.bsky.social came to NSU and spoke. I'll be honest, I don't remember what he said, but I remember being in awe at the cameras, the men on the building roofs, and the sheer amount of people on the grass.

You know what I still can't believe... Kamala straight up told the entire nation in that debate that women were bleeding out to death in their cars in hospital parking lots... there was a full ass moment of silence... and then the nation still voted Trump in. Absolutely wild, imo.

>.> I didn't know there were this many fruits to begin with.

Okay. Getting off this app til I watch Zenshu. I really will spoiler myself if I keep scrolling. lol

Honestly, it feels like Nichijou on crack cocaine. I'm down for this.

having adhd sometimes is your brain deciding to go "no, fuck you, you ain't working on this thing you're in the middle of doing, i don't care if you *need* to do it, i don't wanna" and then you don't because brain said no.

There are some YouTube channels I really love about Sci-Fi and horror storytelling, but last night I learned the hard way about not watching the ones that talk about Junji Ito’s work right before bed 🫣

As a naive black child growing up in the 90s and 00s, I saw different colors all the time. I knew there was something different between our skin tones. But maybe that's because I didn't have white privilege growing up. Things didn't change, they've been this way for 100s or 1000s of years.
