Since the launch of the program, Madison Park's graduation rate has risen and is now on par with the city average, while enrollment is up 7.5 percent since 2021. The school has 20 vocational programs ranging from carpentry and automotive technology to culinary arts and TV broadcasting.

Madison Park is a gem within @bostonschools.boston.gov. Enrollment is up, attendance is up, and students are participating in industry-aligned coops at record numbers. Glad to see Madison & its incredible students get the recognition they deserve. www.dotnews.com/2025/madison...

She's got me so amped up I'm about to drive down to Boston and push a few Teslas in the harbor

She nursed her baby and then went to war for her city. There is simply no one doing it like Michelle does it. No one.

Wu: If you wanted to make us safe, pass gun reforms. Stop cutting medicaid. Stop cutting cancer research. Stop cutting funds for veterans. That is what will make our city safe.

Shame on Tom Homan for lying about the City of Boston.

Boston Mayor Michelle Wu at the House hearing on sanctuary cities: "If you wanted to make us safe, pass gun reforms. Stop cutting Medicaid. Stop cutting cancer research. Stop cutting funds for veterans. That is what will make our cities safe." Mic drop! 🎤

To every one of my neighbors back in Boston, know this: You belong here. This is your home. Boston es tu hogar. Boston se lakay ou. 這是你的家. This is our city. We are the safest major city in the nation because we are safe for everyone. #Boston #Congress #CongressionalHearing #Immigration

"We are the cradle of democracy and the city of champions not in spite of our immigrants but BECAUSE of our immigrants!" MAYOR Wu @wutrain.bsky.social #bospoli #mapoli

I sound like a broken record on this, but @bostonschools.boston.gov's complete transformation of its food service operations in the last 3 years is nothing short of amazing. Take it from Mason, 4th grader at Ellison-Parks: "The food is delicious and, at the same time, healthy" youtu.be/2urvB9n_UQk

Congrats to Madison Park Technical Vocational HS for the successful launch of their Career Exploration Initiative today! So great to watch these future health care workers get inspired by Boston leaders in the field. TY @mayorwu.boston.gov & @bostonschools.boston.gov Supt Skipper for joining!

“This campus has been a beacon for decades, but over time, the facilities haven't gotten the reinvestment that's needed to make sure it's the most modern and updated platform for our students and for our industries to be plugged in."- @mayorwu.boston.gov during visit to Madison Park today

This Sunday, students who live in Boston and their families have free access to nine of the City’s world-class cultural institutions through #BostonFamilyDays. Before heading out tomorrow, please check the institutions’ websites for closures and schedule changes.

We were treated to a farm-fresh @bostonschools.boston.gov lunch in the Mayor’s Office today: 🥟 Spicy corn empanadas (Reading, MA) 🍏 Shaved Brussels sprouts salad with apples and cranberries (Hadley, MA; CT; and the Cape) 🌾 Greens and grains salad (Western MA and VT)

I’m a US citizen because of birthright citizenship. Immigrants & their kids have a special love for this country—as the home worth sacrificing everything to build. Shame on these illegal efforts to undermine our country’s values. TY @massago.bsky.social for leading the charge to take this on!

Big mood

Every time @bostonschools.boston.gov adds electric buses to its fleet, I’ll take the opportunity to share this photo from April 2021: then-candidate Wu taking a big swing and committing to electrify the school bus fleet by 2030 🔌💥

Regatta hopes you’re enjoying your Sunday.

It was such a joy to celebrate the grand opening of @bostonschools.boston.gov Boston Adult Technical Academy— East Boston, in Orient Heights. With students representing 22 countries and 17 languages, BATA is fundamentally Boston: a community that makes every single member feel at home. #bospoli

Greater Boston Boss @bonniejin.bsky.social moves the needle on broker fees

Very cool partnership emerging at the local level in the Ann Arbor, MI area.

Opinion— White Stadium plan can super-charge women’s sports in Boston www.dotnews.com/2024/white-s...

Editorial: The Economist named Boston “the safest big city in America.” Crime in Boston is not just the lowest it has been in years but, in some categories, in decades.

The Mattahunt is a nation-leading exemplar of dual language Haitian Creole programming, right here in Mattapan. Next year, @bostonschools.boston.gov will launch 7 new bilingual programs, opening doors to bilingual, bicultural education for 1000s more of our diverse families.

This morning, with @police.boston.gov Commissioner Michael Cox and Senior Advisor for Community Safety Dr. Isaac Yablo, we reflected on the strategies that made Boston the safest major city in America this year. 1/8

BPS kids deserve nice things. I can’t wait to see the impact a renovated White Stadium has on generations of student athletes — especially young women playing right alongside a women’s pro team ⚽️🏃🏽‍♀️🏆

Exciting news! BPS’ Ruth Batson Academy was selected for the MA School Building Authority’s school construction pipeline—which brings state $$ for needed major renovations. It’s an incredible school community that has led the way here & globally: www.boston.gov/news/bps-rut...

Exciting news — @bostonschools.boston.gov's Ruth Batson Academy is one step closer to a major renovation! With support from the Massachusetts School Building Authority, we’re beginning the process of upgrading the Batson’s facilities to create a high-quality learning space for our students.

Huge news for @bostonschools.boston.gov: the Ruth Batson Academy has been invited into the MSBA state funding pipeline to build a new facility for this incredible high school – Boston's first University-Assisted Community Hub School 🥳 www.dotnews.com/2024/batson-...

Today’s very cynical @bostonglobe.com editorial eyeroll at the initial BPS-only pilot phase of our Boston Family Days free museum program overlooks the operational work to launch & sustainably run a program of this scale. Sharing a bit of the reality behind how it works: 🧵

7 new bilingual programs in @bostonschools.bsky.social send “a message to our students and school communities that we see multilingual learners as an asset and that we are dedicated to supporting them so that they can reach their full potential” ✨✨ www.bostonherald.com/2024/12/09/b...

With $2 million from our Office of Food Justice, we’re helping bring fresh, culturally-affirming food to our residents while reducing waste and greenhouse gas emissions.

Great writeup on how leadership in Boston and across MA caused real reductions in methane emissions from food waste– in partnership with small biz. & more to come: Boston is investing in a central operations hub for recovered food to keep up the momentum. www.bostonglobe.com/2024/12/02/s...

Hello, Bluesky. Here is a pony for your Sunday.
