don't laugh, armies only behave like this when they're very depressed

When Congress funded the DOD, there was no line item for big-boy birthday presidential military parades. Where did the money for Trump’s vainglorious spectacle come from? Cutting Army pay and benefits? Reducing training? Or just Departmental slush funds from bloated annual budgets?

Not every Republican wants to kill you, but none of them will ever do anything about the ones who do.

The violence reported is that two people drove their cars into protesters.

between this, the camo outfits instead of dress uniforms, and the sloppy ass formations, i am pretty sure the army is putting on a world historic version of malicious compliance

When Tim Walz became Kamala Harris's running mate, progressives highlighted policies passed. It could not have been possible without Melissa Hortman. -Free school breakfast and lunch -Restoring voting rights for felons -Paid leave Great piece by @gracepanetta.bsky.social 19thnews.org/2025/06/rep-...

i want to bottle this expression

no… no, they can’t possibly be… oh my god, they wouldn’t… they can’t be… YES, THEY ARE PLAYING FORTUNATE SON

The whole parade ridiculousness is almost worth it just for it to flop like this

Crowd control. Never used.

It's kinda crazy to remember that the mass protests today got their start (and name) from a tweet about congestion pricing

NOW: #NoKings Austin proceeds despite the evacuation of the TX Capitol at 1 pm in response to what TX DPS called a “credible threat” against lawmakers attending today’s rally, one of more than 1,800 across the country.

We are many, they are few; they are cowardly, we are brave; we are righteous, they are wicked; we shall endure and grow even stronger, they shall crumble and fade to dust.

Trump parade vs No Kings march, San Diego

I haven't been this happy to see a bunch of miserable conservatives since the Korean election returns, which admittedly was like 2 weeks ago

watching the stream of DC on cspan and absolutely fucking cackling at how empty the whole thing is

Okay taking it back. This parade is hilarious. No attendance, the little squeaks because it's so quiet, Trump looking like someone shit in his cereal. Brilliant. A+. No notes.

The funniest thing here would be Trump firing Hesgeth because the parade was so terrible.

Know their script: -Scraps -Feckless -Status quo -Both-sides -Liz Cheney -Corporatist -Bare minimum -Drop in the bucket -Counter revolutionary -Controlled opposition -"This is why Trump won" -We need to hold DEMOCRATS accountable Also watch for pivoting, whataboutism, and moving the goalposts.

As always, I've got my finger firmly on the pulse of current events, providing topical and timely content for the news of the day.

Man Coachella is so fucking washed this year.

These monsters are out of control.

So damn proud of our red state Dems today

"Many Americans sense that something has gone wrong, very wrong." www.liberalcurrents.com/the-history-...

imagine explaining that in 2025, bill kristol is at a "No Kings" protest against Trump and Matt Tabibi is a bootlicker

We need more Sigmarite War-priest representation

The violence is all on the Right. It underpins their entire movement.

it's much easier to cringe at expressions like these when we go online and see it on a screen. when you see it in person it feels different and it makes you think about how much andor emotionally affected its viewers

HOLY SHIT

We lined the streets of a busy intersection and stretch of road and the vast majority of drivers going by were supportive. Thumbs up, hollering support, peace signs. Also one guy yelling "losers" and a few grumpy looking jerks staring straight ahead, jaws clenched. They know they aren't winning.

I'm very confident that the people out in the streets today aren't going to let our country fall into fascism. The enemy can continue to intimidate us, to attack our leaders and try to scare us, but there were more people standing up to say "no" today than they can ever have people-snatching goons.

I'm sorry but the largest protest of my lifetime is not the 7th or 8th biggest news story in the country behind "what does Gen Z want from Instagram?" This shit is humiliating. Rearrange your layout to meet this moment. Omitting the thing happening in every American city is malpractice.

Incidentally, the number of "Trump is a poopyhead/support trans kids/stop deportations" and other cringe shitlib (complimentary) signs VASTLY outweighed the pro-Pal/communist/abolish capitalism folks at NoKings in Seattle today. Don't forget that it's liberals fighting back.

genuinely hilarious compared to the scale of the protests nationwide huge loser energy from mister tough guy
