I have a son who we believe is suffering from mild PDA. Wants to play 'palworld' and the PC needs updating/fixing. Is he interested in building a PC for it? Nope. Absolutely blinkered to only playing games.

Bit of modern punk to start the day. vm.tiktok.com/ZGdAurL82/

My 2nd keyring of the day, but I was very impressed by the colours literally made just by heating steel until it colours.

Visited bridge command yesterday. Things got a bit chaotic and then we had the server go pop. After it came back up, we may have got our nukes a bit too close to the shuttle. Fun times.

It is entirely possible these two things are related.

Excellent news.

#caterday was missed. Sorry. Here is Floss (17yrs) enjoying some soft cheese.

Diesel heater is plumbed in with the exception of the fuel line. We found by depanneling the bus it was lacking any insulation, so next job is to find something that won't absorb water to pack out the panels. I think the polyester is probably the best stuff for the job. Just wiring & fuel to go

The wonderful Mr Ed was helping me fit this box under the van to accommodate a Chinese diesel heater. Hoping to get it wired up and running for next weekend.

Took a few minutes out to bolt things together with peeps but had very little to do with this very cool project!

It is #caterday ! Majestic boy who was offended I was stroking him when he was comfy.

The wife left the top of the catnip container off. I'm concerned as this is the bitey one and she gets very aggressive after the 'nip.

The dalek base is coming together! It'll soon be exterminating the people of Essex.

Lasered lindt reindeers. These will soon have shiny noses.

Yesterday my daughter made it all about redecorating her underwear with the sickness bug from school whilst we tidied and decorated the house. Today, we have resumed normal service, but mostly because my daughter is de-decorating (deteriorating?) the tree and smashing the ornaments. 3D printer ftw.

Another day, another bunny. This one runs opennabjab but the server appears to have gone down so it's not massively happy at the moment.

A few days work getting the usual charity calendar sorted for a good cause. In this case my daughter's SEN school fundraiser for the PTA.

One of Essex Hackspace's members has a 3D printed Dalek (yes full size) project done by a collaboration of people across multiple printers. Yesterday we started planning how to make the thing move. Of course hoverboard motors will be involved.

Yesterday we commenced a 48hr isolation for our daughter from school because of suspected illness (she's absolutely fine). She's non verbal and today everything is a hammer and anything that isn't is a nail.

#littleboxes. 24 to be exact. Now to build the actual calendar tonight ready for tomorrow!

My 3d printing adapter works great to test this pancake machine. The machine itself was bought 2nd hand off facebook marketplace and has already made 35,000 pancakes. There's few of these machines in the wild and you can technically just pour the batter in and not use the advanced dispensing.

After two of our three Braun Oral B Pro 3s all died in short order, I finally got around to sending them back. But the tape dispenser was missing the middle bit. One 3D print later...

Bit of secretive CAD work making an adapter for coop honey bottle tops to a homebrew bag. With good luck and bad judgement my 2nd version fit. It's part of a batter release system.

It's #caterday!

Down the East Essex Hackspace for the first time in a while. Making an Xmas calendar for fundraising at a local SEN school.

Nick has been making things at the hackspace. In this case, safety things.

Shiny.

This week I have mostly been printing plastic "tin" whistles.

Today, for *reasons* I got a 2nd hand pancake machine which based on its age must have been retired and not stolen. There will be pancake shenanigans at some point.

The van has gone off for repairs today. Brakes work best when they're not pouring hydraulic fluid out. I've just been told it's coming off the ramp and they've changed the bearing seals on both sides which means lots more £££s I suspect.

I deleted my X account. I'm more comfortable here and have stopped opening X now.

This has all been very much digg to Reddit in terms of transition. Whatever happened to Kevin Rose?
