If this is the path for PP to gain a seat, I hope Carney doesn’t call the bye-election until the day AFTER the AB provincial bye-election in Edmonton Strathcona is held. That seat has been vacant since Dec 30, 2024 and Smith seems disinclined to call the bye-election for some reason.
