The bigger part of this story is how this guy worked in a department tasked with monitoring the Pacific for INCOMING RUSSIAN CRUISE MISSILES, and for some reason, Trump decided we don't need that. DEFCON 5 type shit.

Here's my time lapse of the Moon-Mars occultation last night. I made it using my pixel 6 phone mounted to an 8-inch Dobsonian telescope + recording in the 5x time lapse mode. I edited out my telescope adjustments which made the video go crazy for a second or two.
