Yet the US side has not proposed to Ukraine as part of the deal any future military assistance and security guarantees, according to several drafts viewed by us at the FT and Ukrainian officials involved in negotiations with Washington.

140+ days and counting, two failed coalition negotiations, now a third attempt (with the same parties involved as the first time), yet still no clear outcome (but an announcement that they're, once again, officially negotiating). Paints a rather bleak picture of the state of 🇦🇹 party politics.

I honestly do not understand how anyone can follow this saga anymore with an ounce of interest. The politicians (pick your party) have all collectively proven they collect their salaries for nothing. This post-election period makes one question everything: why vote, why democracy, why government?

Добрий день, це вас турбує Ірина, щаслива власниця ваучера від Хофер, за що величезна подяка вам від мене, дуже приємно несподівано отримати такий подарунок.😍 cards-for-ukraine.at

I reckon all the past authoritarians were really cringe, we just didn't have tiktok and twitter and didn't to get to see that up close.

This has been my point for weeks about what Musk is after. Consolidated data from the biggest mine of information in the world. He’s so thirsty for data he’d get his hands on the nuclear codes if he could. Could he? www.theatlantic.com/technology/a...

this man is on fucking drugs, he is on a lot of them, and every member of the white house press corps and every republican member of congress is deliberately overlooking it

national security advisor michael waltz on ukraine’s recent washington criticisms “it’s unacceptable, they need to tone it down and take a hard look and sign that deal.” ukraine in an impossible position. their biggest—and essential—supporter over the last three years has become an adversary.

Getting worse by the hour what do they have on Trump in Moscow

A planned press conference with President Zelensky and the US chief envoy to Ukraine Keith Kellogg has been cancelled. An American call it seems, with Ukrainian sources saying that Mr Kellogg appears increasingly “sidelined” by the Trump administration.

That’s how you write a headline, people.

The latest mutterings of Trump really leave no doubt

Hundreds of asylum seekers from around the globe are being trapped by the US in a Panama hotel where they'll eventually be sent to a camp in the jungle. One Chinese man said “I thought: America is a free country with respect for human rights. I had no idea it was like a dictatorship.”

zelenskyy postponing wednesday trip to saudi arabia once again condemns talks “between representatives of russia and representatives of the usa. about ukraine again - and without ukraine.”

Being a NATO member, the US also has very valuable intel... Whelp.

"....the US can no longer be regarded as a reliable ally for the Europeans....the Trump administration’s political ambitions for Europe mean that, for now, America is also an adversary....". A truly alarming analysis by the chief foreign affairs commentator of the @financialtimes.com.

It's been almost 3 years. 3 years of not a single day going buy without a Ukrainian, young and old, leaving me tearful messages on my phone about financial government bureaucracy crap which I am incapable of solving and instead become an unpaid therapist. My patience has run out.

A good summary well worth a listen. Again, though, I’m not really understanding why this is surprising anyone. podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/t...

This is a national story. Everyone waiting with apprehension. Fun times for us volunteers (sarcasm). www.krone.at/3690469

This extraordinary piece ends with a plaintive question about whether anyone wants to hear a rich heir from a powerful family complain about his father. For the avoidance of doubt, yes. Yes I do.

The Ukrainians I speak with in Europe see it differently. Many cannot wait for the war to be over so they can go home, provided there is a home to return to. I haven't met any recently who argued to keep fighting indefinitely. Everyone is exhausted. www.foreignaffairs.com/ukraine/puti...

nato leadership has been unwavering in commitment to ukraine membership since russia’s invasion…even though they had no plan or timeline to get there. trump has ended that position, unilaterally. putting nato sec gen and european leaders in a deeply uncomfortable position.
