The clear winner today was US President Vladimir Putin. (Irony: Trump has a pic of Reagan in the oval office. Reagan would be absolutely losing his mind all over again if he were alive.)

Elon shows up in a ball cap, long coat, t-shirt, carrying his kid and it's "Oh, Elon, we love you." Zelensky shows up in attire worn in solidarity with the people fighting (he wears what they wear) and he's treated like he's done the worst thing ever. America is dead.

Putting America first would be standing with US allies and partners, advancing US interests against US rivals. But since I know the slogan "America First" came from Nazi sympathizers, and originally meant "just let Hitler take over Europe," I thought Trump's "America First" meant try to help Putin.

Trump doesn't care about anything except that someone (Ukraine) got something without a quid pro quo. That's literally his whole issue. This is also the right's whole problem with programs that are there to help American's who are struggling. A strong nation is composed of 100%, not the 1%.

Trump thinks he can push Europe to take on more security operations but that America will still be in charge. He thinks he can cut funding, maybe even close the DoE, but still be dictates states' decisions. He thinks he can cut research funding and that won't hurt America. He's 100% wrong. 1/2
