If failures and rejections are not encouraging you to try harder, or smarter, you might be in the wrong game. You're better off pursuing something that sparks your "inner flame" regardless of outcomes. Keep trying new things till you find that.

40%: building an app 60%: figuring out how people will discover the app

If AI is hurting your SEO, ask yourself: 1. Is your content easy to summarize? 2. Do your target users prefer quick answers? 3. Is a human expert angle not essential? If it’s 3x yes, it’s time to rethink your content strategy!

Happy to have broken into G(enerative)EO

lets brng bck fb-era lzy-typng so v knw whos AI nd whos nt

An ad showed up. I didn’t buy. It came back. I didn't buy. Again. I gave in. Then it came back again. But I already bought!! Turns out, ads don't really care about selling, they only care about learning. Ad infinitum. #ads

Maximizing expected value means playing to win across all possible worlds. But you live in just one. Trust the math — but carry a little faith.

The pace of life will always be slower than you'd want it to be.

Using AI to replace junior devs wouldn't ease the miscommunication headache. I still struggle to clearly explain what I want to an LLM. It frequently misinterprets, leading to iterations that take three times longer than writing the original prompt.

That unpromising engineer you didn't hire (who would later go on to destroy your database)... Those taxes you paid just on time (which would have attracted 3x penalty)... We only think about profits gained. Think about losses averted, and life isn't so bad.

Social media uses "hooks" as psychological tricks to engage you without you necessarily desiring to. It's tiring to dive in yet another blog/tweet/reel and come back out with nothing. We are heading towards emotional fatigue and hook saturation soon...

A good UI doesn't matter. But a bad one certainly does. Subliminally, it conveys to a user that you don't care. Then why should they?

We overcomplicate growth. It's simple: Generate a useful output. Big or small, but something you are proud of. Then do it everyday.

If people signed into your waitlist, they want to "check out" your product, not purchase it. Know the difference.

Stop using ChatGPT and learn to form your own opinions.

I figured there's no right way to make a MVP/SLC. A small product is just that...a small product.

Please, "fail fast" doesn't mean moving so recklessly fast that you definitely fail...

It's distressing to see how many s#!tty products GenAI has enabled people to build

2 exchanges with Claude >> 10 with ChatGPT For coding tasks, I now get Claude to create the solution framework and use ChatGPT to refine it #ai

happy new year, my #buildinpublic friends go get it

I figured working on 2 projects parallely is a great idea: 1) you can focus on one while the other awaits customer reactions 2) you don't solve for scaling before you really should Prevents unhealthy attachment and protects focus. Try it.

Let's normalise taking a career break

Lesson this month: app installs are don't matter if users haven’t: 1. Explored beyond the home page. 2. Opened the app at least twice after downloading #buildinpublic

I have been indie-hacking for the past 1 year. My revenue is $0. As a community, let's stop boasting and start supporting. Your turn to open up. #buildinpublic

No better feeling than app reviews getting passed

Quick q: what's your primary resource for itinerary planning? Is it TripAdvisor? ChatGPT?

Dudes who are liking my post immediately (with automation), seriously, what are you getting out of this? 😒

Every other YT/Insta video claims to have made $X million with "this simple trick"... I wonder if it is really true 🤔
