Epictetus was a slave, Cleanthes an impoverished man who carried water for extra money and wrote on bone as he couldn’t afford paper, and Zeno a shipwrecked homeless immigrant. Marcus is the least “useful” Stoic, but your station in life doesn’t determine your ability to be Good. That’s the point.
