When Clive Barker was working on the MUMMY remake for Universal in the early '90s, he had a trans character in the script, and when the studio vetoed it, he basically said "I really can't stress how much I don't need to fucking make THE MUMMY" and left.

I was a bit disappointed that Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuuuX Episode 2 was basically a rewriting of Mobile Suit Gundam 1979 as alternate history. I feel they coulda left the history revision for later in the season. But I guess whatever happens in Episode 3 will determine if it was needed now.
