I write stuff. I sing stuff. Sometimes I do both with the same stuff and call it filk. Some things I enjoy: fantasy, stories, games, music, plants, cats, bubble tea. Introductions are hard.

Old flower #7 - a Red Bird of Paradise tree flower in Naples, FL from 2015. One of the few things I miss about SW Florida are the flowering plants.

Old flower #6 - a hibiscus from Franklin Park Conservatory in Columbus, OH, during 2019. I love hibiscus, both as a flower and as a beverage ingredient. So nice.

So I have learned what comping is. Stay Tuned. What is the equivalent for this platform of "vaguebooking", by the way? 😁

Old flower #5 - Giant milkweed flower from the Phipps Conservatory in Pittsburgh, PA, from 2021. So cool.

Old flower #4: A sky full of magnolias, from the National Arboretum in Washington, D. C. Good times.

Got my new stash of tea today in the mail. I am excite. TEEEEEA. 😁

When you like the color of wine, the warmth of tea, and the taste of juice, and apple cider isn't fancy enough, you get this all-fruit blackberry deliciousness from Tin Roof Teas. No, this is not a paid advertisement. But it is basically a free one. So good.

That moment when you REALLY want to respond to an Inspirational Thread with something appropriate but can't think of a single personal example, and would feel guilty posting the snarky one. Darn you BlueSky, why are you so dang wholesome. 😅

Old flower #3: An iris from a large garden somewhere I don't recall near Kent, Ohio, in 2013. I like the color of this one.

Struggling with things to post that I want the entire world to see. This is why I still use Facebook more, because it's all friends only for me. I am glad people who were tired of Xitter moved here though. Still legit. #socialmedia #personalpreference

Old flower #2 - Peruvian lily from Cobh, Ireland, in 2007. Is pretty.

I want to start featuring old flower photos here...I used to take so many and haven't in the last year or two. But they make me happy. Here's a columbine from Milwaukee in 2010, just because. :)

Hi, new corner of the interwebs. Have a shiny nerdy thing from the natural history museum in Pittsburgh as my first post. Seemed appropriate.
