Undecided on if it's good or not but The Surfer, the new NIck Cage film, is deeply uncomfortable. Visually it pulls from classic 70s folk horror, and it's disorienting nature fits its setting under the brutal Australian sun. Glad to have seen it.

The longer you're out of work the more the silence from employers hurts. A year and a half now I've been applying, adding to my skillset, and I've heard back twice. Both rejections. If I heard more rejections I think it would sting less but it's so silent.

The Tokyopop edition of this was the first manga I ever owned and crazy seeing it come back so long after they went under (This is also how I found out there's apparently a sequel series currently running by the same author? Probably because she abandoned the original to constant hiatus I guess...)
