I will always defend the right of personal religious freedom, but the reason the bible is pushed to be taught in schools is because it is the perfect authoritarian playbook. It promotes tribalism and absolute fealty to a being that commits atrocities while also being supposedly all loving.

I am so disinterested in the norms. Why is our entire government seemingly dependent on norms and not laws? Why does the president have so much power that we just hope they don’t use because it is against the norm? Be real. It is so ridiculous. Change the law so they can’t. Don’t rely on norms!
