Extrapolate 20+ yr from an employee pool that probably averages 25 yr old enlistment date. These people are 45-50 years old. The prime of one’s intellectual & experiential careers and highly productive. These aren’t 65 year old veterans on Medicare, playing golf at the villages.

NBC confirmed the Fed firings include promoted individuals still on probation at their new positions. I’m in Civil Service, our previous positions are maintained while on probation at new positing. Legally put on “Leave” until the probation ends. Many return because they don’t like the promotion.
