I’m not a young man. I began my life in the Eisenhower administration, and became politically aware under JFK. Lived through Nixon. Today was the most sickening display by an American President in my lifetime. Indescribably embarrassing for our nation.

The SHERIFF of this town got three unidentified men to violently assault a woman in public because he didn't like what she was saying - and no one stopped them. www.idahostatesman.com/news/politic...

So after promising to focus on safety, they’ve gotten right down to work… on gender terminology?

substack.com/@thehalfwayc... This is utterly brilliant.

Not surprisingly, Trump sounded non compos mentis at his “press conference” today. The man is as mad as the March Hare.

Craig Sicknick, brother of Brian Sicknick who died a day after defending the US capitol on January 6, 2021, said: "I came here today to urge Congress to do its job and block Mr Trump from taking office just a few short weeks from now." #USProtests #3E #14thNow

I’m feeling really confident about Trump’s choices so far: a heroin addict with a brain worm and a ketamine-drugged billionaire. What could possibly go wrong?

Donald Trump made the courageous decision today, after sitting on the sidelines for days hemming and hawing, to stand behind Elon Musk's position on HB1 visas, despite clearly not knowing what they are based on his New York Post interview

I'm going to post this video every day so we never forget Pls do the same.

We were seeing a 98% drop in exposure over on Twitter. The censorship was so extreme we thought it best to start over somewhere else. We chose Bluesky. Help us gain our following back Follow Retweet Repeat Join the park side @altyellonatpark.org

We now confront the unprecedented problem of an unelected South African half-trillionaire holding hostage an unstable and vengeful president with a thermonuclear arsenal and a barely Republican (221-214) Congress as the rough beast of tyranny slouches toward Bethlehem. What could possibly go wrong?

Saddam only had Uday and Qusay. So far Trump has about half a dozen on his friends and family plan for government posts.

Imagine being the President of Greece and learning that the new American ambassador to your country got the gig as a consolation prize for being dumped by Don Jr.

As I note in this piece, we've actually seen this weird mishmash of ridiculously wealthy businessmen and dipshits whose main qualification is loyalty to the president about a hundred years ago. It was the Cabinet of Warren G. Harding and, hoo boy, did that not turn out well.

Does it matter how much Pete Hegseth drinks if he's completely unqualified sober?

With Jack Smith Dismissing Trump's Federal Criminal Cases, What of the American Mantra, "No One Is Above The Law"? youtu.be/FMr1rV4-BPw?...

So even before being sworn in, Trump is caught lying about, and is called out by an actual leader, President of Mexico Claudia Sheinbaum. Trump is determined to make America a laughingstock around the world.

In my annual silly crusade to make the traditional green bean casserole entirely from scratch, I have just French-cut 1 1/2 pounds of green beans. These are the kinds of things that keep me drinking.

Remember when "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" tried to teach us about tariffs and no one was paying attention

Trump still has not signed the battery of ethics documents necessary for the transition of administrations and confirmation of his Cabinet nominees. This leaves him free to conceal the identies of people funding all the activities involved, and actually violates the law.

An NYT op-ed today by a Russian journalist, says Putin sees the election of Trump as a nail in the coffin of America as a great world power. Putin may be wrong but the larger point bears thinking about, namely that, as we learned in the aftermath of 9/11, Ameircan stupidity is easy to weaponize.
