The most important point in all of this is that LLMs still lack a valid use case. There is a new kid on the block that is apparently much less expensive when it comes to doing nothing particularly useful. All the money involved in "AI" is still on the costs end.

Microsoft stole so much code and violated so many licenses. It's almost unbelievable. They spent decades and (at least) hundreds of millions of dollars strengthening intellectual property laws. They're still fighting, today, to keep people from having access to vaccines, for the same reason.
