“Musk's ‘fraud’ rhetoric is presented as an anti-politics, as something fresh and exciting. But it is in fact a politics, a very old sort, the politics of oligarchy.” open.substack.com/pub/snyder/p...

How does the creator of Sponge Bob feel about their artwork being used to attack Americans?

This has to stop.

I’m going to go with insanity on this one.

I haven’t forgotten. It’s why I will never be or vote Republican.

Acosta: He is, essentially, a part-time president who has delegated the presidency to Elon Musk. And the question folks are going to have to start asking—and I think they already are—is: What the hell did we vote for here?

Saw a headline about how to lower my risk for dementia, but more and more I’m thinking I want dementia. Seems a good escape.

It is perfectly legal to know your rights and to educate others about them, too. EVERYONE in the United States, citizen or not, has rights. I will not allow this administration to intimidate us from helping you know about them. Here’s our shareable guide ⬇️: (pt. 1/2)

In spite of my B+, I’ll admit I did not entirely grasp my college eco class. So I’m not quite understanding how laying off thousands of federal workers helps the economy.

The federal civilian worker payroll totaled $271 billion in 2022. The annual cost of permanently extending Trump's tax cuts that primarily benefited rich individuals? $400 billion. Keep this in mind as Trump and DOGE lay off thousands of federal workers.

NEW YORK (AP) — New York's governor refuses extradition request for doctor charged with prescribing abortion pills to Louisiana minor.

The author of this piece was an associate WH counsel under Reagan. He has a very polite way of explaining that what Trump is doing with DOGE is a coup. wapo.st/4hSE7Ox

Indeed. Given his role, Elon Musk is subject to challenge as a principal Officer under Article II who must be appointed with Senate confirmation. Such a challenge is bound to be made and would need to be taken very seriously.

This is an EXCELLENT idea.

Someone at the American Bar Association ate their Wheaties this morning.

We're in the midst of a constitutional crisis. The world's richest man is effectively orchestrating a coup. At the very least, Senate Dems should not be confirming any of Trump’s nominees for any agency while this power grab continues. Nothing should be "business as usual."

No one's blaming Democrats for causing this crisis, but yes, many of them are failing to meet this moment. One Democratic senator could bring the chamber to a halt. House Dems can go to fed agencies being gutted by Musk with cameras in tow. Governors can push back. State AGs can bring lawsuits.

I'm going to post this video every day so we never forget INSURRECTIONIST TRUMP!

One way to reduce drug spend is to have the FDA do an analysis of how long medicine retains it's potency. It can do it one drug at a time. No one should throw away medicine they shouldn't have to. Whether pharmacy or patient. www.propublica.org/article/the-...

Don’t let Trump’s flurry of executive orders overshadow his effort to rewrite history by pardoning Jan 6 attackers. They were not “hostages.” They are criminals convicted of committing political violence after receiving due process in court. https://buff.ly/4hqvnPx

Thing is, I’ve never given the name Gulf of Mexico the slightest thought. Never once thought it inferred any kind of ownership.

Hey Judge Merchan, you out there? Are you listening? Maybe give this some consideration.

I’m no fan of guilt by association, but it does seem worth noting that on the night of the 2024 presidential election, a notorious German neo-Nazi group, AfD, met with Donald Trump at Mar-a-Lago and has since been warmly embraced by virtual co-president Elon Musk. Birds of a feather . . . 🦅

We now confront the unprecedented problem of an unelected South African half-trillionaire holding hostage an unstable and vengeful president with a thermonuclear arsenal and a barely Republican (221-214) Congress as the rough beast of tyranny slouches toward Bethlehem. What could possibly go wrong?

If Laurence Tribe says we should do this, then we should do it.

Elon Musk spent $277 million to get Trump elected, but he’s $276 billion richer since the election and has Trump under his thumb. That’s a return of 1,000 to 1. Not too shabby! He didn’t become earth’s richest man by making dumb investments.

Is that how it works in business? The board of directors is just there to support the CEO?
