🚨 Secretary Noem basically said that her agency is now dedicated to forcible regime change…in American cities and states. There 👏🏽 is 👏🏽 a 👏🏽 name 👏🏽 for 👏🏽 this

This is outrageous, and we need answers. If this is how the Trump administration treated a United States senator while the cameras are on, ask yourself: what will they do to ordinary people?

I couldn’t believe my eyes. This manhandling removal & handcuffing of a US Senator at a public event is absolutely revolting & repugnant to American values. It’s a basic violation of civil rights.

The state of California needs to arrest the DHS "security" forces for assault and every Democrat in the U.S. Senate needs to sign onto a campaign to impeach Kristi Noem. Right fucking now.

Senator Alex Padilla is one of the most decent people I know. This is outrageous, dictatorial, and shameful. Trump and his shock troops are out of control. This must end now.

We're living through the Who Cares Era, where completely disposable things are shoddily produced for people to mostly ignore, while the government stomps its uncaring boot on our necks. But there's an easy way to fight back: Care. I wrote about it: dansinker.com/posts/2025-0...

The entirety of Andor is a triumph -- the writing alone is timely, piercing, and will extract every last bit of emotion it can from you.

Me in my 30s: Ugh, have to go outside and do yard work. Who has time for this? Me in my 40s: I wish I had more time to be outside to work in my garden that I just decided was the most important thing ever and needs my full attention. Probably me in my 50s: Kids, we just bought a farm.

🧵 THREAD: A federal whistleblower just dropped one of the most disturbing cybersecurity disclosures I’ve ever read. He's saying DOGE came in, data went out, and Russians started attempting logins with new valid DOGE passwords Media's coverage wasn't detailed enough so I dug into his testimony:

BREAKING. From a reliable source. MITRE support for the CVE program is due to expire tomorrow. The attached letter was sent out to CVE Board Members.

I'm not fighting back or calling this out just because Abrego Garcia is brown like me or has a hispanic surname like mine or looks like he could be family. It's because the road that expands this lawlessness to anyone they want is always vastly shorter than we think.

This is all of a moment, but this point in the timeline will stand out in the history books.

We must all stand as a united front against the kidnapping and illegal detention of Kilmar Abrego Garcia in El Salvador. Senator, I am willing to join you and help Organize other members of the House to do the same. @vanhollen.senate.gov

This. Write your name in the history books on the right side of the ledger.

I think this aspect of the market has not been covered well because everyone is watching stocks so closely. If everyone starts dumping treasuries (and usd) then we've got a whole new set of worries on our hands.

Well done tonight, Wisconsin! đź’– (p.s. I miss you, and hope to visit again soon.)

The word is that Senator Booker stopped eating on Friday and stopped drinking water on Sunday so he could remain on the floor (from @thebulwark.bsky.social here www.youtube.com/watch?v=MvFL...). Just an absolutely extraordinary moment.

This pointless stunt by Cory Booker is accomplishing nothing but drawing attention to the Trump administration’s wrongdoing and delaying the work of the Senate and energizing the Democratic base and, wait, hang on, let me come in again

19 hours in plus, and @booker.senate.gov is not just still holding the floor, but bringing the fire and bearing witness to the truth of it all.

Things Democratic Senators could do that would be useful: - Withdraw unanimous consent from all Senate business until constitutional rule was restored - Refuse to vote for any legislation until constitutional rule was restored - Boycott as a caucus until constitutional rule was restored

yall we can’t collectively screech that “no one’s doing anything!” and then say “no not like that” when someone actually does something. is Booker’s filibuster gonna save the world? of course not. but since courage begets courage it could lead to more. I’m fucking cynical as hell but come on.

This is the energy and leadership we need - thank you, Senator @booker.senate.gov! www.youtube.com/watch?v=rCUK...

This is a disaster in the making if they really go for this. Rewrites are on the list of things that you should never do: www.joelonsoftware.com/2000/04/06/t...

ATTN #austinsky! Anyone have some love in their heart and room in their life for this orphaned sweetie? Her brother didn't make it and she's clearly lonely and in need of human and cat company. Healthy beyond a case of the blues.

Tonight an unbelievable **34,000 people** gathered for our Denver rally to take on billionaires and win our country back. This was the largest political gathering in Denver since Obama in 2008. Also bigger than the 2024 DNC. And the largest ever rally in Bernie’s career (and obviously, mine too).

I deeply appreciate what @governorwalz.mn.gov is doing here -- glad to see that he hasn't slipped into the shadows, and remains connected and very much in this fight.

I think some in the Senate have convinced themselves that the backlash to folding will be limited to “the left” and therefore ignorable. Those people are deeply and profoundly misreading the moment and the stakes. Virtually every swing district House Dem walked the plank to vote NO for a reason.

The institutions of the American economy depend on the institutions of American democracy; rule of law, consistent regulation, stability, and all the rest. That’s what’s being destroyed and that’s what risks the *entire economy. Saying that out loud shouldn’t (and can’t) be a risk

Defending freedom is a basic tenet of what makes America great and keeps us safe. If Elon doesn't understand that, maybe he should leave it to those of us who do.

Graber’s shirt — which directly copies the style of a shirt that Zuckerberg wore onstage recently — says Mundus sine caesaribus. Or, “a world without Caesars.”

Having @jay.bsky.team go on stage at SXSW while the hellsite has completely fallen over is just perfect.

The S.Ct. has overturned Trump’s freeze of $2 billion in foreign aid voted by Congress. SCOTUS directed the trial judge to “clarify what obligations the government must fulfill.” CJ Roberts and Justice Barrett joined the three liberal justices to form a 5-4 majority. www.nytimes.com/live/2025/03...

Just. walk. out.
