Baby bro and my nephew who graduated from Cypress Creek HS in Houston today, exactly 44 yrs and 2 days after I graduated from Cy Creek. So proud of Carson who’s off to college on a track scholarship in the fall.

The beginning of the year long 1sts w/o mom started last Sun-the 1st Mother’s Day w/o her, today is my 1st birthday w/o her. She died of a rare aggressive cancer May 5, 14 days after her 82nd bday & 13 days before my 62nd. Robin is getting me out of the house for a nice steak dinner tonight.1/3

Just got the news mom is going on hospice, Dr said weeks to months, more like weeks. I’ve been back & forth to Houston between my Dr appts & treatments. I’ll be heading back to Houston May 1 for a few days. Not sure she’ll make my birthday May 18. 1/2
