You can tell Paris’s streets were car-centric until very recently, but their leaders understand something @mayorofchicago.bsky.social & @govpritzker.illinois.gov need to get as well: the sustainable growth of global cities like Chicago is impossible by car, it needs to be on 🚴🏽🚊🚌🚶🏼‍♀️

I moved to Chicago from Indy a decade ago so I could ditch my car and live in a more diverse, progressive city. I’ve been walking, biking and riding @chicagocta.bsky.social ever since. Moving to Chicago to live car-free is the best decision I’ve ever made. I don’t want 40% less train.
