That feeling when Topham's silly arse twin brother and a lump of rock outrank you in a favourite character poll.

Remembering the late Actor, Anthony Jackson (18 February 1944 – 26 November 2006)

Keeping Up Appearances outtakes.

Right. Let's all give @stamteam.bsky.social a follow, then he'll have to start posting here more regularly and I'll have one less reason to check Twitter. 😜

One to set the VHS for - this 1974 Omnibus documentary about Laurel & Hardy (narrated by Morecambe & Wise) is on BBC4 this Thursday.

(1/4) An amusing and ambitious railway stunt scene from the largely forgotten 1982 sitcom L for Lester. Looks like it might have been filmed on the Severn Valley Railway. Had to split this into three parts, so if you enjoyed this first bit, you can find the rest in the thread below. 👇🙂

Just watching the Super Bowl. Sticky fudge fingers anyone?

Props to The Fat Controller actor for effort here, pulling his best "What? No toasht or crumpetsh for tea?" face. (Bristol Evening Post, 1st November 1999)

"Sales of the first batch of three films from Stan and Ollie exceeded 50,000." Laurel and Hardy were first released on VHS in the UK in the mid 80s, and unsurprisingly were a huge success. (Daily Record, 4th April 1987)

Not sure how David Mitton's company came to be involved in the distribution of these, but I doubt there was more than one Star Tug and Marine Co. around back then! @tugstheexhibition.bsky.social (The Independant, 26th August 1990)

Almost a decade before we were introduced to the coach of the same name, you could have met another Victoria... (Ashbourne News Telegraph, 19th August 1998)

As this listing shows, Ivor the Engine was often aired on local TV stations in the US during the mid to late 1960s. I wonder how many viewers turned over from The Three Stooges to watch? XD (The Standard Star, 5th November 1966)

"When you get it right, things fall into place like a jigsaw puzzle. It's a very satisfying feeling." The only piece I've ever come across where Bryan Daly discusses the Postman Pat theme. I'm sure the full radio show would make a fascinating listen! (Huddersfield Daily Examiner, 2nd July 1991)

"He stays decidedly British. We try to export the British postman and fight any attempt to change him." Article discussing Pat's 10th anniversary, the two specials being produced that year and the plans to export the show to other countries. (Bristol Evening Post, 27th April 1991)

I guess the office intern typing these answers up didn't have a clue who Diesel 10 was. (Calgary Herald, 5th April 2007)

Seems there were plans to launch Fireman Sam in the US in the mid 90's. There's talk of a 30 minute pilot here, which presumably would have been redubbed footage from the UK version. A surprisingly big name was lined up to voice Sam too... (Bristol Evening Post, 14th June 1994)

Juxtaposition at its finest. Not two videos I'd have have expected to see reviewed next to each other in the same column! (Evening Post, 31st October 1998)

"The suspect parcel which forced staff to flee their studios turned out be a gift-wrapped jigsaw!" (Daily Post, 17th September 1987)

A Series 8 storyline that was scrapped when HiT decided to revamp the show.

Continuing the Trap Door theme from my last post, an interesting piece here where Willie Rushton discusses the show and mentions his inspirations for the voices. :) (Evening Herald, 4th October 1986)
