We are looking to recruit a highly motivated postdoc with cell or molecular biology expertise. Excellent #epigenetics, #chromatin training & networking opportunities @qmulepigenetics.bsky.social DM me for inquiries pl apply/share tinyurl.com/m6jnksk5

Reading a high-profile paper- it contains no information as to which genome assembly was used for mapping, and the "raw data" is deposited as BAM files (not so "raw" if it was mapped to an unspecified genome assembly not retaining unmappable reads)

Thank you very much, Bowel Cancer UK, for funding our work! This is a joint project with Ralf Zwacka, Andrea Mohr and Greg Brooke, devoted to nucleosomics of cfDNA in colorectal cancer. Please forward this to relevant candidates for a postdoc on this project! generegulation.org/job-opening/

Our new review on how the #chromatin domain is formed in the cell is now available @Curr Opin Struct Biol.📄✨ We critically discuss the domain formation mechanism from a physical perspective, including #phase-separation and #condensation. 📥 Free-download link: authors.elsevier.com/a/1keGn,LqAr...

It’s been a tough few weeks. My 10yo daughter was diagnosed with a very rare, aggressive cancer called interdigitating dendritic cell sarcoma (IDCS). I’m reaching out to identify clinicians/patients who have encountered pediatric IDCS or other (non-LCH) dendritic or histiocytic sarcomas cases.

Sometimes jealous of the lifestyle of academics who go on expeditions to exotic places while we sit in the lab and our best adventure is meeting a squirrel or a cat 🐈 :)

IT'S HAPPENING! The Woodstock of Biology 2.0 meets Night Science @nightsciencepod.bsky.social 10-13 of June in Prague & the Woods of Bohemia... Be there or be REJECTED. #theconferencetoendallconferences

The lab is looking to hire a postdoc or senior research associate to work on transcription factors. Any aspect of transcription factors or mechanisms of transcription regulation. The position is fully funded by my NIH R35 until Dec 2028, unless NIH implodes. email me!

Hi chromosome biologists, now that we're getting more and more connected online, how about starting an international mentorship network? Postdocs mentor PhDs, young PIs mentor Postdocs, senior PIs mentor young PIs? Comment or DM if interested, please RT. All input welcome.

@ygilad.bsky.social has what looks like a useful book just released: An Intuitive Primer on Effective Functional Genomics Study Design www.amazon.com/Intuitive-Pr... I just bought a copy for the lab.

Our new paper is finally out, showing that the same enhancer sequences - and likely the same transcription factors recruited to them - affect the activity of distal enhancers and their looping over to target gene promoters. www.nature.com/articles/s41...

Amid concerning times, sharing a bit of positivity: our 1st preprint of 2025 (funded VIA NIH COMMON FUND), heroically led by Marty Yang (@martyyang.bsky.social) w/ huge assist from @genophoria.bsky.social lab. There has been a couple of manuscripts released regarding transcription factor footprinting - or digital genomic footprinting (DGF) as we call it. I would like to put some of the claims, results and conclusions in context, since I have worked and published on this for ~15 years. 1/n

Super excited to share our new study from the @jbuenrostro.bsky.social Lab in @nature.com! We developed a computational method for tracking transcription factor and nucleosome binding using single-cell ATAC-seq and deep learning. Paper: www.nature.com/articles/s41...
