I fed crows today, and a disabled crow took its time to join in, but once it did, the other crows all moved aside and let it take some food. They all waited for this disabled crow to be done to take more food. I can't even convey the awe I feel, how impressed I am. Humans could learn from crows.

I had heard so many people talk about the book Parable of the Sower by Octavia Butler that I decided to read it. Today, I abandoned that reading about 60% thru. I skimmed a bit to the end & was glad to have abandoned the reading. In 1993, it was a fitting warning. Today, it's too real.
