Is there any link between the Trump admin’s “deal” with El Salvador and Bukele’s plan for a “Bitcoin City,” which was going to be scaled back in order to receive loans from the IMF — and Trump admin’s plans to use gold reserves to buy Bitcoin? Or all just coincidence theweek.com/business/eco...

Trump tried to bury this story on a Friday night, but it’s extremely important: He’s planning to take land on the border controlled by the Dept. of Interior and sign it over to Dept. of Defense so migrants “would have trespassed on a military installation,” resulting in harsher punishment.

Here’s an idea for Passover, the Freedom Holiday: When El Salvador’s President Bukele enters the White House Monday April 14 for an “official working visit,” he should BRING MR. GARCIA WITH HIM, HOPEFULLY ALIVE, AND RETURN THE RANSOM HE COLLECTED FOR ENSLAVING THAT LAWLESSLY SEIZED INNOCENT MAN.

Yea, so is the world rethinking the dollar. Per @pkrugman.bsky.social "However, even I didn’t expect him to destroy credibility accumulated over 80 years in less than three months. But he has." open.substack.com/pub/paulkrug...

Keep talking about the Signal security lapse at the Pentagon. The media may have forgotten about it, but the voters have not.

Last night I wrote about Abrego Garcia’s case. Today, SCOTUS confirmed it’s true. Even though their stay is just temporary, he remains in cruel & unusual conditions in a foreign prison with no recourse. It could happen to any of us. joycevance.substack.com/p/the-week-a...

This a million times

The Economist, pulling no punches.

One of the best Downfall takeoffs I’ve ever seen. The subtitles are simply brilliant.

This—what Trump is doing now in trying to destroy American universities, research, and free speech while blaming it on pretend offense to the Jews is certainly the most profoundly antisemitic act I’ve seen from US government in my lifetime.
