Semi-retired from technical learning design and development (Big Tech - Cloud.) Now I mainly garden, read, do fiber and glass art, and - lately - pop a lot of popcorn. Btw, I have my DMs turned all the way off, and I immediately block scammers/grifters.

Clivia "Big Red" is more of a reddish-orange, but the flowers are definitely larger than the norm. Overall, pretty pleased with this seedling! #clivia #gardening #houseplants

This is my oldest WIP - socks with hand-spun home dyed yarn I started 12 years ago! I was 80% finished when I lost the ball of teal yarn I was using for accent. Found the fiber I used, so now I can spin up a replacement and finally get. it. done! #knitting #showmeyourknits #socks #handknitting

I harnessed some of that "Oh my gawd, I am getting SO sick of this project!" energy and got 'er done tonight. V-neck cowl scarf has been completed. Second pic shows the set, ready for our next bike ride! #knitting #handknitting #showmeyourknits

V-neck cowl scarf is mostly finished - the knitting work is done, ends are woven in, and it is now drying on the blocking mat. It still needs the ends to be sewn together, and a finishing crochet border done all around the bottom edge - then back to socks! #knitting #ShowMeYourKnits #handknitting

Clivia update! "Big Red" is showing color on its first 12-bud blossom stalk. I brought it into the house so I wouldn't miss any of its first blooming cycle. My big mama Clivia miniata in the greenhouse is now showing THREE bloom stalks! Last year it had two. #gardening #houseplants #clivia

Started a simple v-neck cowl scarf to match the headband I finished last week. Same yarn, similar basket weave pattern. #knitting #showmeyourknits

Newest knitting project - a very simple headband to keep my ears warm under my bicycle helmet. Worked flat, and I will sew it into a tube once it has finished drying out from being blocked. Made from Icelandic wool. #knitting

First spin with my new Electric Eel Wheel 6.1! I love using this wheel, it makes creating finer yarns so much easier. Spin up some lovely heathered super wash merino top from my big stash of fiber. This will be sock weight when it is piled and finished. #spinning #fiber #EEW

The Clivias are starting their annual bloom cycle! I have a regular orange miniata, four seedlings I bought three years ago, and one three year old seedlings I grew from seeds harvested from my original plant. Pictures will follow ... #clivia #greenhouse #gardening #flowers #pacificnorthwest

Always in my heart, even though they are no longer physically with us.

Happy Holidays to all who celebrate!

Homespun yarn - these are some of my best so far.

More glasswork.

Here are some pictures of my glasswork, which I hope to be able to do more of now that I'm semi-retired.
