uBlock Origin on Bluesky vs Mastodon

Got a post too long for Bluesky, so I'll link to it over on the Fediverse. Stumbled across some new (and new to me) music in the last few days: social.vivaldi.net/@TechpriestB...

Wrote a short essay about my frustration with the pop culture appreciation of Pope Francis: davidbaunach.com/writings/pop...

I tried to figure out adding rss to my site. Here's what I came up with: davidbaunach.com/rss.xml And it sort of works. Works on one reader, breaks another. I'm open to any thoughts or corrections or directions! My goal is to keep it as simple as possible, but I'm fine adding a few things.

Made these (re-imaginings of a few of the Stations of the Cross) last year during Lent, unfortunately all three are still relevant: davidbaunach.com/images/conde... davidbaunach.com/images/jesus... davidbaunach.com/images/naile... Nothing new under the sun.

pinball gang rise up 🤚

Been in a bunch of meetings recently, so some doodling had to happen. Mixed a few different techniques I've used before, I'm digging the mix:

It's really hard to find a QR code generator that doesn't absolutely suck so I've made my own, I'll put it up online if anyone is interested

Just found @matteason.me's project Ambiphone via Cloudhiker, beautiful work good sir! Been looking for something like this for a while.

Wrote a 'getting started' guide for Tilde Friends, one of the two maintained clients for SSB, this guide is for the Android version: davidbaunach.com/writings/til...

visit my digital garden, my corner of the internet that is made with hands and love, and sign my guestbook if you enjoyed your stay. it’s becoming not only my work repository but my personal wiki it’s made with #TiddlyWiki, a special sort of program known as a Quine. #DigitalAutonomy gavart.ist

I bought every Pebble that ever came out and I will happily do so again once they re-launch. Easily the best smartwatch experience I've ever had.

IMO, the most revolutionary thing @obsidian.md could do rn, is modify the gemini protocol to use Obsidian markdown, and create the Obsidian web.

Reminder, or introduction to those too new to know it -- Bluesky culture is to report and block trolls. Don't feed trolls with responses. They live to get a rise out of us. Deprive them of oxygen on Bluesky and they will go elsewhere.

This is a search engine that only indexes websites that don’t use JavaScript which means all its results are gnarly old sites that are decades old. I love it.

Came across some cool stuff about nomadic foragers recently, did a write-up on my website: davidbaunach.com/writings/the...

Cool article about the practical stuff when switching to a dumbphone, covers a lot of the pain points: www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle...

A test crosspost from Openvibe to my Mastodon, Nostr, and Bluesky accounts

Maybe my favorite feature here. Very high quality feed as it surfaces the non-professional posters who are stopping by to update on their work.

In my smolweb explorations, found that all browsers I tested will render a txt file. This is interesting to me for many reasons, but the main one is it makes it easy to run a handwritten websit... Good read, especially if you’re new to Bluesky and wondering how it’s different from Twitter.

hi bluesky! i'm robin, i do pixelart and music on my freetime 🔊 #pixelart #ドット絵

Have been on a quest to make my own clothing for over a year, and it's finally drawing to a close. Read more here: terra.techpriesthub.xyz/@terrantechp... #sewing

Been working on this on and off the past few weeks, think it's finally polished enough to share: # Initial Findings in my Studies of Anarchism-The Human Mycelial Network A quick overview of my studies of Anarchism over the past year Read it on my wiki: wiki.davidbaunach.com/Techpriest_W...

Happy birthday Groucho

If you call 911, you get the cops. We really need to help people understand this. You might get someone else too. But you always get cops. Do not call 911 unless you are sure that everyone on the scene needs to be policed. Including yourself.

Just a fun post today, noticed where I've got the cat beds set up, looks like my armour is watching over them as they cat nap:

Had a dinner party last night and made a deconstructed beef Wellington. I am now convinced it's the best way, every ingredient gets to reach perfection without being held back by the others.

Got my fall/winter/spring garments ready: a pair of wool pants, and a denim tunic/robe type thing. I decided to go with a bag instead of pockets, which I'm liking so far, though pockets may happen eventually. The patterns for these two garments.. Read the rest: social.vivaldi.net/@TechpriestB...

The Gospel today seemed particularly poignant.

Finished another hand sewing project, used an old bathrobe for a pattern, though I added buttons and changed how it closed in the front. Wanting to do some cool sort of wide belt to finish it off, but will need to explore fabric options for that... Continued: social.vivaldi.net/@TechpriestB...

Return from Vacation I've been on vacation for roughly the last three weeks, and it's given me much to write about. It was wonderful to slow down, no alarm clock, no schedule, surrounded by friends and/or family. Continued: rcsocial.net/@TechpriestB...

I'm realizing the 300 character limitation is a bit, er, limiting, after getting used to Mastodon and Nostr, might be sharing more links to longer writings. I'm going to at least share the last 1 or 2 posts so y'all can get an idea about what I typically talk about.

Just checking things out, not sure if I'll stick around, though I like the little bit I've seen so far!
