Oscar night always makes me think of how, in 1945, Billy Wilder was so salty he didn't win for Double Indemnity, he stuck out his foot and tripped Best Director winner Leo McCarey as McCarey rushed to the stage to accept his award for Going My Way. Poor form from Wilder, but it does make me cackle.
