In addition to unions representing federal workers, are there any resources out there for federal workers who need to figure out whether to sign a severance agreement?

Team Trump is anti-worker but look what happened just *today* in NY: 👉 NY AG recovered $16.75M based on DoorDash keeping tips that customers intended for workers 👉 @hellodcwp.bsky.social recovered $2.6M from 5 employers (incl. Starbucks) for #PaidSickLeave, fair workweek violations.(1/6)

Upcoming dates of protests: 2/28: Economic blackout 3/4: 50501 protests AND @aftunion.bsky.social's #ProtectOurKids day of action 3/7: March for Science protests

It's pretty cool that Eater put together resources for restaurants about how to handle ICE raids

At an ABA continuing legal education course. We are learning about legal ethics rules about confidential government information. Demoralizing how the rules that apply to all of us & that respect our privacy are being thrown out the window for Musk et al.

I continue my tradition of leading conference participants in dancing the hora, this time at an ABA conference. Hava Nagila, baby! Let’s talk minimum wage!

New @NPWF research shows that state and Trump administration efforts to overturn or undercut the enforcement of the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act puts 2.8 million pregnant workers at risk. npwf.info/3EV4Prn

"What saves us is the conviction that we are members of a team, in the union, in the nation. This little book is well worth passing on to a union brother or sister because it reminds us again that we are all in the same boat—as wage-earners, as trade unionists, as citizens in a democracy."

Here’s a resource to calculate how many federal workers live in a particular state/county. Personally I want safe food & medicine, clean air & water, safe air travel, majestic national parks, social security for seniors & *mail* Shout out to federal public servants economic.github.io/federal_work...

Si la migra te detiene, ¡recuerda esta canción! No tienes que firmar ni decir nada. Tienes derecho a permanecer en silencio, y tienes derecho a un abogado. ¡Mantén la calma y recuerda tus derechos! #conozcasusderechos #knowyourrightssong

Serious question: are we already at the point where air travel is so dangerous that we should avoid it? (I am traveling to a conference tomorrow!) How will rational, data- based, non-over-reactive but cautious people know when it’s really not smart to fly unless it can’t be avoided?

I've known @meeracjoshi.bsky.social for years, since we collaborated on cases involving taxi drivers' rights. She's a smart, ethical, committed public servant who cares deeply about NYC. She just resigned as Deputy Mayor. I'm grateful for her leadership & service. www.nydailynews.com/2025/02/17/s...

Inspiring community swearing in of our former NY AG colleague @micahlasher.bsky.social as an NYS Assembly Member. So many phenomenal public servants in one room, including our fantastic @manhattanda.bsky.social Alvin Bragg, who swore Micah in. Uplifting at a moment we all need it. (1/4)

Great explainer by @BenBurgis about Trump/Musk's war against the NLRB and against workers. If you want the big-picture view, it's a good summary of what's going on and why Dems should emphasize this far more than has happened so far.

Since 2015, the food industry has had the second most workplace injuries resulting in an amputated body part and third most resulting in hospitalizations. More critical data on the state of food work today in new report from @foodchainworker: bit.ly/FoodWorkerData2025

The unions are carrying a lot of water for the rest of us. CFPB has been shuttered illegally (this week they told people the DC building was closed and no one was to work at all without permission). Thread with the complaint.

Great thread.

I agree w this - courts can help but they alone won’t save us. Also, a lot of the protests I’m seeing in relation to the ongoing coup are in DC. Please share plans you know of outside of DC that can be publicly shared, and yes on using Signal too.
