For #MosaicMonday I have no #mosaic only the word which I believe is a Medieval Latin invention, linking it with Muses as in Greek, the words μουσικἀ and μουσεῖον, though the Romans used the generic pavimentum qualified by eg opus tessellatum and the Greeks used λιθόστρωτος or ψηφολόγημα. Any ideas?
