Verbal Abuse - Rocks Your Liver (1986) Verbal Abuse cross punk/hardcore with thrash metal on this platter from 86.

Fans of Billy Hopeless and Black Halos? montecristomagazine.com/arts/vancouv...

Hot damn, what a lineup...

Man, what a wild mix of CDs I found for $13-ish in Northern Alberta... Always YES to Bongzilla.

Amulance - Feel the Pain (1989) An old-school fuckin' speed/heavy metal gem outta... Illinois. This one rips. And the cover will rip AI's head off and shit down its neck.

Ironweed - Ironweed (2025) Ain't nobody, that I've seen, mentioned this one other than Kman. Rockin' grungey-stoner with plenty o' kick. Rewind the tape indeed! ironweedaciddoom.bandcamp.com/album/ironweed

Progressive alternative (weird) Metal from the 80s/90s or however you wanna label them. More on the obscure side despite Phil wearing their shirt on the back of Vulgar. Do you like Voivod or Thought Industry? Mind Over Four - Halfway Down (1993) youtu.be/jGrNbGbf8yw

I think I'm back here and hopefully for good. I'm looking for hard rock, metal and just good music conversation. If you're into that then I might be your guy. It's a fuckin' shit show over there...

kilmore.bandcamp.com/album/call-o... Classic rock through a stoner lens. Outta Halifax, NS. Heather Harris can definitely sing on top of those heavy grooves. Kilmore - Call of the Wild (2018)

Latest Dirtbag Replubic needs more love. Buncha dirtbag rawknrollers from Vancouver rippin' shit up. Dirtbag Replubic - Bad Decisions (2024) dirtbagrepublic.bandcamp.com/album/bad-de...

So, I'm spending Saturday listening to Godzillionaire and rebagging comics. Anyone want to trade glam or stoner metal for comics?

I'd argue that Monster Magnet has yet to put out anything subpar. In fact, I love pretty much every damn thing they've done. Not a lot of bands with that catalog can say the same... This beast, Last Patrol, from 2013 smokes.

My #1 artist this year according to Spot. The track Black Sea is an excellent clash of vibes. You don't see it as often within tracks, but they go from dark to bright. The verses are very dark, but it brightens in the chorus and then goes rather quickly back to dark. Fantastic stuff!

Any nod to Dawn of the Dead and you got me lookin'. Doom laden, sludgey stoner metal outta Oz. King Zog - Second Dawn (2024) marchofkingzog.bandcamp.com/album/second...

Where my Joe Holmes fans at? www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tdss...

This is so damn good. It somehow slipped under my radar. I'm getting slow keeping up with all the music these days, but this here is KILLER. Godzillionaire - Negative Balance (2020) godzillionaire.bandcamp.com/album/negati...

For a buck. Editors - The Back Room (2005) I do love some post-punk/new wave.

The favourite band you didn't know about or still need to check out. The Tea Party - The Edges of Twilight (1995) youtu.be/6lVtx2PTIE0

Let's take about this heavy metal banger. Quebec's own, Sword. Two killer albums from 86 and 88 and must own in my opinion. Rick Hughes is an excellent vocalist (check out his Saints & Sinners hair metal album). Sword - Sweet Dreams (1988)

Here's one I have on CD, but I'm not sure if I've listened to the entire album through. A lot of various grunge influences across the board. I hear Nirvana, Pearl Jam and others. Rocketboy - Now That We Have Your Attention (1997)
